 This is a split ,from opposite corners of the USA ,Newcomer ,from Washington state is Sideshow Bob a/k/a Damion Wolf ,with a lo-fi ,drug-fueled ,weirdness take on traditional tardcore,and from Florida ,Satan Peabody and his Blood Red Oscars ,back with more stupidity than usual,and kind of a tribute to Sockeye,Food ,and Wheelchair Full Of Old Men ,as they are all mentioned several times throughout (first few tracks are a little garbled,tape problems on the master,but the kinks work out quickly into the 3rd song! ,sorry!).This is from 2015.BRO also released a full length,just after this ,and appeared on a few xmas comps for 2015.Look for him on a split cassette (with Chainsaw Butchery), coming out on You're Not Normal Records ,from Sean Lambert in NY.Damion Wolf has a youtube channel ,and has done more Sideshow Bob Recordings,including some stuff with Food Fortunata,look for that soon!

BOOB SAUSAGE - self-titled debut

On Saturday,the 28th of April,2013 ,The Man,The Guy,Chico,& The Boob ,grabbed up the guitar, bass,drum kit,keyboards,and microphone,and recorded this set of 8 mind-blowing,unclassifiable songs.There are 4 songs with vocals and 4 instrumentals with keyboards in place of vocals (each member had a turn at the mic and keys,as well as guitar,bass,and drum set!) In a league all their own,(unless you count The Germs (Germicide-era),Flipper,and the Shaggs) ,in league with Satan (huh huh ..Venom) , this is weird. Dylan Houser did the front cover art and logo ,Eric did the back cover art,graphics by The Man ,and the songs were titled by The Guy.There's even a video for,"Pizza Villian" (an instrumental) on youtube! An unreleased album recorded in 2011,and finally released to this blog.The art ,and the music were collecting dust for over a year,awaiting release on another label,which fell thru ,so here you have it!Also the hard copy is included if you order the Yobel Weenel/Bloodponies split (see below) A great set of instrumentals ,bass,guitar,keys,drums ,made by a 48 ,14,and 11 year old. Truly unclassifiable ,except to say,Zombie rock!This trio is slated to play St.Pete Noisefest 6 ,next year sometime.Let's hope that happens ,for the good of all noise-kind.This is like their 5th or 6th release,I think. Side a is mellow and has somewhat humorous lyrics.Side b is like what you would hear while coming down off an all night trip ,trippy and just when you think it's gonna end ,it kicks back in with added weirdness. Straight outta Croatia,Zagreb ,comes this odd traditional Yugoslavian band.Playing original and traditional xmas songs ,in their native tongue. They also cover Jingle Bells(Zvoncici),Silent Night(Tiha Noc) ,and We Wish You A Merry Christmas , the final song sung in English ,somehow?One of the creepiest looking Santa's ,I've ever seen. Had to grab this while thrifting,just for the cover alone."Hey , kids! Come sit on Santa's lap!" , with his blueish eyebrows! Scary!

THE DISPARATE COGSCIENTI - Manchester Compilation

This goes out to my pal Joel ,cuz I know he would be totally into this! Mark E. Smith , vocalist for The Fall , compiled a bunch of his favorite hometown ,weirdo bands ,for this record. The tracks span from 1978-1988. This was originally released on Smith's own imprint ,Cog Sinister Ltd. ,and I believe he uses the pseudonym "Cog Sinister" ,and plays with one of the bands featured here!(Andrew Berry).Later on, Smith licensed this to Rough Trade Records. Really cool,weird and downright rockin' ,in a Manchester kind of way.

GOD'S FAVORITE BAND - 666 Point System To Destroy The Egg - Best Of GFB

Yes ,before everyone starts inquiring , this is one of my favorite bands. Sounding as if they (they being: Ogre Snot Gurgle , Jesus Phreak , Fried Chickum and several guests) were raised on a strict diet of Sockeye and other Wheelchair bands ,booze and drugs ,and fried food ,this is a masterpiece! There are even a few tracks on here from their split with Sockeye! Totally tardcore ,with weird vocals strewn about ,and change-ups on the musical styles occur frequently. One of the best things you may ever get the chance to hear! Be glad you were born with ears , unless you were'nt. And it's music like this that makes me feel sorry for those born deaf. Man, I need more of this!!

This ends with a skit ,that sounds like the characters from the other disc below ,some fucked up fellas.The music and vocals here ,are great as on all their stuff ,and weird and stupid. More lo-fi ,instrumental strangeness from Food. Some of this really kicks into high gear,after the initial lo-fi start. Some crazy synth stuff starts up,and it continues like that for the full 20 tracks.No really long numbers,the longest is under 3 minutes. Really cool to play in the backround when thinking , while equally accesible for the dance floor (on the moon ,in 3788 A.D. !!!) Get it!

BLACK FOREST RAPE

Thanks to Hans ,my pal in Germany ,for sending in this experimental/ black/electro/psych/
porn/doom/noise/metal band's ,first disc in!(how's that for a band description?!!). His cousin is the drummer. Weird instrumentals,vocals only show up in the form of a few samples before a couple songs.Really cool,and strange ,creates an atmospheric haze ,which blankets the whole proceedings.The song titles are like those of a porn-grind band,but they are not quite that thrashin' ,musically.And the band photos and aliases. (in the zipfile), are hysterical! Makes you think about stuff ,you usually don't think about, (or maybe you do, I don't know).Thinking man's music ,nonetheless!
