Benches are scattered around the garden so visitors can rest and relax, eat lunch, or simply take in the scenery. Another interesting of the best thing to do in El Paso is to take part in the Viva El Paso celebration. El Paso's rich cultural history is celebrated via drama, dance, and songs in the annual returning musical Viva! El Paso. It's great fun for the whole family and a great way to spend time together. If you intend to enjoy as much of El Paso then it is ideal to stay for at least a week. The city is filled with so many to see, do and eat. Hike lovers would also love this city due to its numerous hiking trails.

El Paso stands on the Rio Grande across the Mexico–United States border from Ciudad Juárez. Scenic Drive is the actual name of a road in El Paso, aptly named for its scenic views of the city. El Paso (/ɛlˈpæsoʊ/; from Spanish, "the pass") is the county seat of El Paso County, Texas, United States, and lies in far West Texas. In 1659, Fray Garcia de San Francisco, established Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission of El Paso del Norte. Around this mission, the village of El Paso del Norte grew into what is now the El Paso–Juárez region. El Paso stands on the Rio Grande (Río Bravo del Norte), across the border from Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico. The two cities, along with Las Cruces (in the neighboring state of New Mexico), form a combined international metropolitan area, sometimes referred as the Paso del Norte or El Paso–Juárez–Las Cruces. The region of over 2.7 million people constitutes the largest bilingual-binational work force in the Western Hemisphere.
The city is the headquarters of one Fortune 500 and three publicly traded companies, as well as home to the Medical Center of the Americas, the only medical research and care provider complex in West Texas and southern New Mexico, and the University of Texas at El Paso, the city's primary university. The city hosts the annual Sun Bowl, the second oldest bowl game in the country.

El Paso, La Palma
El Paso is a town and a municipality on the island of La Palma, Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. It is situated in the middle of the island. The population of the municipality is 7,928 (2013) and the area is 135.92 km², making it the largest municipality on the island of La Palma. The mean elevation is 600 m. The territory of the municipality includes the Caldera de Taburiente, a giant caldera constituting a national park.
History
Many footpaths already crisscrossed La Palma before the Spanish conquest. A number of mountain passes east of present-day El Paso enabled cross-island communications. One of these was Ajerjo Pass by which the island's Spanish discoverer, Alonso Fernandez de Lugo, attempted to enter the Caldera de Taburiente, hence its local name the Captain's Pass (Paso del Capitán). The village of El Paso was named after this mountain pass by association.
On 3 May 1492 the mentioned Fernandez de Lugo finishes the conquest of the island of La Palma by the Spanish when conquering the last remaining stronghold of the native Guanches, the kingdom of Aceró. To this goal, Fernandez deceitfully invited its king Tanausú to an interview, to have him imprisoned on appearance. The island was made directly subject to the Spanish Crown, a situation which would last until 1812. In this year the new Spanish Constitution paved the way for decentralisation of the Canary Islands and subdivision into municipalities.

El Paso is a 1949 American Western film directed by Lewis R. Foster.
Plot
Clay Fletcher is leaving South Carolina and heading west. A rebel officer during the Civil War and also a lawyer, he wants to ease back into law practice with something not too difficult, so he travels to El Paso, Texas with estate documents to get the signature of an attorney there, Henry Jeffers.
Stagecoach Nellie steals his wallet along the way. Then, in a saloon, Clay sees a man convicted of murder by a drunken judge in a trial held in a saloon. The judge is Jeffers, and when Clay speaks up on the defendant's behalf, he is charged with contempt of court. Unable to pay the fine, his fancy clothing is auctioned off.
Clay is rescued by rancher Nacho Vazquez, who offers him a place to stay. He also meets the judge's daughter, Susan Jeffers, who owns a hat shop. Clay learns the man found guilty of murder was framed by rich land owner Bert Donner and his stooge, Sheriff La Farge.
La Farge brutally beats and jails a man named John Elkins who had once been a friend to Clay, who volunteers to represent him. He needs the judge to be sober, so old-timer Pesky offers to take Jeffers out of town and away from the saloon for a while. La Farge is furious and tries to have Clay killed.

All aspects of life in the city, from the deliciously spicy food to the abundance of cultural attractions, bear the stamp of Mexico's cultural impact. According to 2015 estimates, El Paso is home to roughly 700,000. This fascinating metropolis is surrounded by breathtaking deserts and an abundance of vegetation and fauna.
One of the best things to do in El Paso is to enjoy the scenery at Municipal Rose Garden. The Municipal Rose Garden is one of the best places to explore in El Paso. The garden's 1460 rose bushes are home to more than 320 different scented roses, with more being introduced each year after being vetted for their capacity to thrive in the local environment. Benches are scattered around the garden so visitors can rest and relax, eat lunch, or simply take in the scenery. Another interesting of the best thing to do in El Paso is to take part in the Viva El Paso celebration. El Paso's rich cultural history is celebrated via drama, dance, and songs in the annual returning musical Viva! El Paso. It's great fun for the whole family and a great way to spend time together. The inaugural European Athletics Off-Road Running Championships, an innovative continental championship that combines the disciplines of trail and mountain running, live from El Paso on the Spanish island of La Palma. On the second day it will be the turn of trail runners to display their talent, contesting the first-ever official continental title in the discipline, with men’s and women’s race over approximately 45km. The route of the races takes in the Bejenao mountain, a hard ascent of the Reventón pass, the Cumbre Vieja, the Llano de los Jables and the emblematic Pino de la Virgen with much of the race taking place in the Caldera de Taburiente National Park.

El Paso, also known as Ciudad de El Paso, is a Spanish municipality located on the island of La Palma, province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands.
Geographically it is located in the center of the island of La Palma, covering to the west with the Caldera de Taburiente, part of the Aridane Valley, the Cumbre Nueva and the Cumbre Vieja. It is on the surface the largest municipality of the island, being the only one of the 14 municipalities of La Palma that lacks coastal strip. In 2016 it had a population of 7457 inhabitants.
The nucleus of population had to have its origins in the pre-Hispanic stage of the island. Almost certainly, because of the engravings found in the area, it consisted of a first moment in a temporary settlement of Benahoarite shepherds. During the colonization and almost throughout the Modern Age the present territory of the municipality was administratively part of the Aridane Valley. In 1837, under the reign of Alfonso XII, the municipality obtained the title of City, segregating of the Los Llanos de Aridane.
At the summit of the municipality is the oldest canarian pine in the world, with an estimated age of more than 1000 years.
Many footpaths already crisscrossed La Palma before the Spanish conquest. A number of mountain passes east of present-day El Paso enabled cross-island communications. One of these was Ajerjo Pass by which the island's Spanish discoverer, Alonso Fernandez de Lugo, attempted to enter the Caldera de Taburiente, hence its local name the Captain's Pass (Paso del Capitán). The village of El Paso was named after this mountain pass by association.
On 3 May 1492 the mentioned Fernandez de Lugo finishes the conquest of the island of La Palma by the Spanish when conquering the last remaining stronghold of the native Guanches, the kingdom of Aceró. To this goal, Fernandez deceitfully invited its king Tanausú to an interview, to have him imprisoned on appearance. The island was made directly subject to the Spanish Crown, a situation which would last until 1812. In this year the new Spanish Constitution paved the way for decentralisation of the Canary Islands and subdivision into municipalities.
At about 15:15 local time on Sunday 19 September 2021 the volcano above the town erupted following multiple tremors. It is situated in the Cumbre Vieja national park, despite having been quiet since 1971.

Film „El paso diváka zavede do kotle vášní, emocí a živelnosti. Režisér Zdeněk Tyc se po úspěšných „Smradech už podruhé vrací do světa Romů, který v nás zpravidla vzbuzuje strach a rozpaky, přestože o něm vlastně vůbec nic nevíme „El paso je inspirováno skutečným osudem romské vdovy, matky devíti dětí. Filmová rodina Horváthových má dětí sedm. Příběh začíná okamžikem nečekané, tragické smrti otce. Matka Věra najednou stojí sama proti úřadům, odhodlaná udržet svou početnou rodinu pohromadě za každou cenu, jenže zoufale nepřipravená. Sociální odbor dává k soudu žádost na odebrání jejích dětí a následné svěření do ústavní péče. Ze dne na den jsou vystěhováni na periferii do sociálního bytu o jedné místnosti. Případ Věra versus město se dostane k mladé, ambiciózní advokátce. Svět Romů nezná a ani ji příliš nezajímá, celou kauzu bere zpočátku jako odrazový můstek své začínající kariéry. Navzdory svým předsudkům, nepochopení a občas i samotné Věře, která blonďatou advokátku zpočátku odmítá vpustit do svého světa, případ nevzdá. Naštěstí není sama, kdo stojí na straně rodiny proti většině. Je tady ještě lehce nepraktický, ovšem o to pro svou práci zapálenější, kurátor Kochta. Jeho snaha pomoci Horváthovým je přiživována také ryze soukromým zájmem o atraktivní advokátku
„El paso nekončí happy endem, jen jeho příslibem. Bez lakování na růžovo nabízí pozitivní příklad. A také čas na přemýšlení, zda být Romem opravdu znamená být vinen.

From producer Marcela Gaviria, correspondent Martin Smith and their team, the 2020 documentary “Targeting El Paso” investigated how the border city that has been called the Ellis Island of the Southwest became a testing ground for some of former President Donald Trump’s most controversial immigration policies, a subject of his anti-immigrant rhetoric, the site of a surge of migrant families crossing the U.S.–Mexico border — and, on Aug. 3, 2019, the target of a deadly attack by a white supremacist.
Interviews with current and former immigration officials, U.S. Border Patrol agents, migrants and advocates tell the inside story from the epicenter of the border crisis.

El Paso stands on the Rio Grande across the Mexico–United States border from Ciudad Juárez. Scenic Drive is the actual name of a road in El Paso, aptly named for its scenic views of the city. El Paso (/ɛlˈpæsoʊ/; from Spanish, "the pass") is the county seat of El Paso County, Texas, United States, and lies in far West Texas. In 1659, Fray Garcia de San Francisco, established Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission of El Paso del Norte. Around this mission, the village of El Paso del Norte grew into what is now the El Paso–Juárez region. El Paso stands on the Rio Grande (Río Bravo del Norte), across the border from Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico. The two cities, along with Las Cruces (in the neighboring state of New Mexico), form a combined international metropolitan area, sometimes referred as the Paso del Norte or El Paso–Juárez–Las Cruces. The region of over 2.7 million people constitutes the largest bilingual-binational work force in the Western Hemisphere.
The city is the headquarters of one Fortune 500 and three publicly traded companies, as well as home to the Medical Center of the Americas, the only medical research and care provider complex in West Texas and southern New Mexico, and the University of Texas at El Paso, the city's primary university. The city hosts the annual Sun Bowl, the second oldest bowl game in the country.

El Paso, also known as Ciudad de El Paso, is a Spanish municipality located on the island of La Palma, province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands.
Geographically it is located in the center of the island of La Palma, covering to the west with the Caldera de Taburiente, part of the Aridane Valley, the Cumbre Nueva and the Cumbre Vieja. It is on the surface the largest municipality of the island, being the only one of the 14 municipalities of La Palma that lacks coastal strip. In 2016 it had a population of 7457 inhabitants.
The nucleus of population had to have its origins in the pre-Hispanic stage of the island. Almost certainly, because of the engravings found in the area, it consisted of a first moment in a temporary settlement of Benahoarite shepherds. During the colonization and almost throughout the Modern Age the present territory of the municipality was administratively part of the Aridane Valley. In 1837, under the reign of Alfonso XII, the municipality obtained the title of City, segregating of the Los Llanos de Aridane.
At the summit of the municipality is the oldest canarian pine in the world, with an estimated age of more than 1000 years.
Many footpaths already crisscrossed La Palma before the Spanish conquest. A number of mountain passes east of present-day El Paso enabled cross-island communications. One of these was Ajerjo Pass by which the island's Spanish discoverer, Alonso Fernandez de Lugo, attempted to enter the Caldera de Taburiente, hence its local name the Captain's Pass (Paso del Capitán). The village of El Paso was named after this mountain pass by association.
On 3 May 1492 the mentioned Fernandez de Lugo finishes the conquest of the island of La Palma by the Spanish when conquering the last remaining stronghold of the native Guanches, the kingdom of Aceró. To this goal, Fernandez deceitfully invited its king Tanausú to an interview, to have him imprisoned on appearance. The island was made directly subject to the Spanish Crown, a situation which would last until 1812. In this year the new Spanish Constitution paved the way for decentralisation of the Canary Islands and subdivision into municipalities.
At about 15:15 local time on Sunday 19 September 2021 the volcano above the town erupted following multiple tremors. It is situated in the Cumbre Vieja national park, despite having been quiet since 1971.

The inaugural European Athletics Off-Road Running Championships, an innovative continental championship that combines the disciplines of trail and mountain running, live from El Paso on the Spanish island of La Palma.
On the second day it will be the turn of trail runners to display their talent, contesting the first-ever official continental title in the discipline, with men’s and women’s race over approximately 45km.
The route of the races takes in the Bejenao mountain, a hard ascent of the Reventón pass, the Cumbre Vieja, the Llano de los Jables and the emblematic Pino de la Virgen with much of the race taking place in the Caldera de Taburiente National Park.

Ex-confederate officer Clay Fletcher jumps
at the chance to reunite with his once lady-friend,
Susan Jeffers, when his father, Judge Fletcher,
sends him on an errand to El Paso, Texas to get
the signature of Susan's father, Judge Jeffers,
on a legal document. Once there he finds the
judge has become a drunk and a laughing stock,
doing the bidding of local magnate Bert Donner
and his running dog, Sheriff La Farge. Just as
Clay starts straightening out the town's problems,
events occur which force him to abandon the legal
system and instead adopt the murderous tactics
of a vigilante.

She's exposed to the brutality of the Mexican drug cartel, and becomes partners with a defector from the cartel (Benicio Del Toro) who possesses keen knowledge about the organization. As she gets deeper into the ruthlessness and corruption surrounding the FBI sting to find the organizations leaders, her moral and professional boundaries are pushed to their breaking point. Denis Villeneuve directs this pulse-pounding crime drama, which competed for the Palme d'Or at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

Interviews with current and former immigration officials, U.S. Border Patrol agents, migrants and advocates tell the inside story from the epicenter of the border crisis.

Film „El paso diváka zavede do kotle vášní, emocí a živelnosti. Režisér Zdeněk Tyc se po úspěšných „Smradech už podruhé vrací do světa Romů, který v nás zpravidla vzbuzuje strach a rozpaky, přestože o něm vlastně vůbec nic nevíme „El paso je inspirováno skutečným osudem romské vdovy, matky devíti dětí. Filmová rodina Horváthových má dětí sedm. Příběh začíná okamžikem nečekané, tragické smrti otce. Matka Věra najednou stojí sama proti úřadům, odhodlaná udržet svou početnou rodinu pohromadě za každou cenu, jenže zoufale nepřipravená. Sociální odbor dává k soudu žádost na odebrání jejích dětí a následné svěření do ústavní péče. Ze dne na den jsou vystěhováni na periferii do sociálního bytu o jedné místnosti. Případ Věra versus město se dostane k mladé, ambiciózní advokátce. Svět Romů nezná a ani ji příliš nezajímá, celou kauzu bere zpočátku jako odrazový můstek své začínající kariéry. Navzdory svým předsudkům, nepochopení a občas i samotné Věře, která blonďatou advokátku zpočátku odmítá vpustit do svého světa, případ nevzdá. Naštěstí není sama, kdo stojí na straně rodiny proti většině. Je tady ještě lehce nepraktický, ovšem o to pro svou práci zapálenější, kurátor Kochta. Jeho snaha pomoci Horváthovým je přiživována také ryze soukromým zájmem o atraktivní advokátku
„El paso nekončí happy endem, jen jeho příslibem. Bez lakování na růžovo nabízí pozitivní příklad. A také čas na přemýšlení, zda být Romem opravdu znamená být vinen.
