Pattaya (Thai: พัทยา, pronunciation , rtgs: Phatthaya, Thai pronunciation: [pʰát.tʰā.jāː]) is a city in Thailand, a beach resort popular with tourists and expatriates. It is on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, about 100 kilometres (62 mi) south-east of Bangkok, within, but not part of, Amphoe Bang Lamung in the province of Chonburi.
Pattaya City (Thai: เมืองพัทยา; rtgs: Mueang Phatthaya) is a self-governing municipal area which covers the whole tambon Nong Prue and Na Klua and parts of Huai Yai and Nong Pla Lai. The city is in the heavily industrial Eastern Seaboard zone, along with Si Racha, Laem Chabang, and Chonburi. Pattaya's census population figures of 107,000 only account for residents who have formally registered in the city. Pattaya is the center of the Pattaya-Chonburi Metropolitan Area - the conurbation in Chonburi Province - with a total population exceeding 1,000,000.
The name Pattaya evolved from the march of Phraya Tak (later King Taksin) and his army from Ayutthaya to Chanthaburi, which took place before the fall of the former capital to Burmese invaders in 1767.
Beach Road may refer to:
"Bali Ha'i", also spelled "Bali Hai", is a show tune from the 1949 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical South Pacific. The name refers to a mystical island, visible on the horizon but not reachable, and was originally inspired by sight of Ambae island in Vanuatu from Espiritu Santo, where author James Michener was stationed in World War 2.
In the musical, Bali Ha’i is a volcanic island within sight of the island on which most of the action takes place. The troops think of Bali Ha’i as an exotic paradise, but it is off-limits – except to officers. The matriarch of Bali Ha’i, Bloody Mary, does a lot of business with the troops, and she meets Lt. Joseph Cable right after he arrives. She sings her mysterious song, Bali Ha’i, which has haunting orchestral accompaniment, to him because she wants to entice him into visiting her island. She doesn’t tell him that she wants him to meet, and fall in love with, her young daughter, Liat.
Several versions of this song made the best sellers list in 1949. Perry Como's version was the most successful at #5. Other versions appearing on the charts were Paul Weston and his Orchestra (#10), Bing Crosby (#12), Peggy Lee (#13), and Frank Sinatra (#18).Andy Williams released a version on his 1958 album, Andy Williams Sings Rodgers and Hammerstein. Sergio Franchi included this song on his 1965 RCA Victor tribute to The Songs of Richard Rodgers.
A street is a public thoroughfare (usually paved) in a built environment. It is a public parcel of land adjoining buildings in an urban context, on which people may freely assemble, interact, and move about. A street can be as simple as a level patch of dirt, but is more often paved with a hard, durable surface such as concrete, cobblestone or brick. Portions may also be smoothed with asphalt, embedded with rails, or otherwise prepared to accommodate non-pedestrian traffic.
Originally the word "street" simply meant a paved road (Latin: "via strata"). The word "street" is still sometimes used colloquially as a synonym for "road", for example in connection with the ancient Watling Street, but city residents and urban planners draw a crucial modern distinction: a road's main function is transportation, while streets facilitate public interaction. Examples of streets include pedestrian streets, alleys, and city-centre streets too crowded for road vehicles to pass. Conversely, highways and motorways are types of roads, but few would refer to them as streets.
Walking (also known as ambulation) is one of the main gaits of locomotion among legged animals, and is typically slower than running and other gaits. Walking is defined by an 'inverted pendulum' gait in which the body vaults over the stiff limb or limbs with each step. This applies regardless of the number of limbs - even arthropods, with six, eight or more limbs, walk.
In the United Kingdom and Ireland, the term walking includes activities such as walking in a park and trekking in the Alps. However, in Canada and the United States the term for a long, vigorous walk is hiking, while the word walking covers shorter walks, especially in an urban setting.

Pattaya is a popular beach resort on the Gulf of Thailand just 150 km southeast of Bangkok a mere two hour drive. Pattaya pulsating nightlife is well known but local authorities have in recent years improved the quality of the beaches and reinvented the resort as a more family friendly destination. Today hundreds of thousands of visitors are drawn each year to Pattaya to windsurf water ski swim sunbathe snorkel sail or take trips to nearby islands. Once a fishing town, Pattaya first boomed as an R&R; (military) destination during the Vietnam War and developed into a family-oriented[citation needed] seaside destination. Foreign tourism to Thailand as a whole in 2007 amounted to 14.5 million visitors.[6] Activities include playing golf (21 golf courses within 1 hour of Pattaya,) go-kart racing, and visiting different theme parks and zoos such as the Elephant Village, where demonstrations of training methods and ancient ceremonial re-enactments are performed daily. The private Sri Racha Tiger Zoo features tigers, alligators, and other animals in daily shows. The Vimantaitalay tourist submarine offers 30 minute trips underwater to see corals and marine life just a few kilometers offshore. Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden about 15 kilo...
I traveled from Bangkok, Thailand to Pattaya by mini-van which was only 92 Thai baht, or less than $3 USD. The two motorcycle taxi rides were 150 baht each, or about $4 so total cost of the trip was about $11. The mini-vans leave Bangkok from right near Victory Monument. PS. I was wrong about Ko Samet, it isn't off the coast at Pattaya but further south, near Ban Phe. PLANNING A BUDGET TRAVELING TRIP?? If it wasn't for you!
Do I believe in the resurrection of Christ?
And did His death bring forth new life?
And did He raise up and bring back Lazurus from the
grave?
Is there supposed to be a Second Coming?
Am I wrong because I'm wondering
Why the fallen Babylon is up and alive today?
And do I really believe in the Mark of the Beast
Cause he's still dwelling up in my streets
Strapped and ready to fight this war
And he's got more guns than you and me
And most people don't wanna believe
That they still prejudice, simply because we poor
Do I believe that Mother Teresa was an angel on this
earth
And thou shall love thy neighbor, even if he acts like
you?
Do believe in Heaven and Hell, shoot, hell yeah I do
Cause we alive today, and my crew is living proof
If it wasn't for you!
None of this would ever mean a thing
If it wasn't for you!
Tell me why else would I believe
What I believe
Do I believe that the Rider of the White Horse
Is coming back for the righteous?
And the Morning Star keeps getting brighter every day?
Is there such a thing as good and evil
Still division amongst the people?
And we're not all created equally, just because you say
Do I believe in the Trinity?
And will I live eternally?
Even though I'm not quite the saint that you claim to
Did Dr. Martin Luther have a dream?
Was Haile Sillasi a king?
And is it okay to sometimes feel a little bit confused?
Will Armagedon ever come?
I'm not perfect, just forgiven
And I might just push back the next time you shove
Do I believe in One God, one aim and destiny?
Just don't forget your First Love
That's what my mom used to tell me
If it wasn't for you!
None of this would ever mean a thing
If it wasn't for you!
Tell me why else would I believe
(What I believe)
If it wasn't for you!
Then none of this is for nothing
It's all for nothing!
It's all for nothing!
It's all for nothing!
If it wasn't for you!
None of this would ever mean a thing
If it wasn't for you!
Tell me why else would I believe
(What I believe)
If it wasn't for you!
None of this would ever mean a thing
(What I believe)
If it wasn't for you
(Would I believe)
If it wasn't for you
