Amazon (yacht)

Amazon is a 102-foot (31 m) long screw schooner ex-steam yacht built in 1885 at the private Arrow Yard of Tankerville Chamberlayne in Southampton.

Designer Dixon Kemp intended her to be 'fast and a good seaboat' and her successful sea trials were recorded in the several editions of his definitive Yacht Architecture (First Edition published in 1885).

In 2011, Amazon was listed as one of the world's Top 40 Classic Yachts and was the oldest vessel honored.

Construction

Carvel planked in teak and pitch pine on oak frames, with alternate wrought iron strap floor reinforcement, bronze fastenings, lead keel and copper sheathing, the Amazon's hull is still largely original.

History

Her builder and first owner, Tankerville Chamberlayne, an English gentleman, personally supervised her construction by his own Arrow Yard at Northam on the River Itchen. This small non-commercial facility was established by the Chamberlayne family for the maintenance of the famous cutter Arrow, which was adapted continuously and thereby kept racing competitively into the 1890s. Amazon's engine and boiler were supplied by the adjacent works of Day, Summers and Company.

"Remix (I Like The)" is a song by American pop group New Kids on the Block from their sixth studio album, 10. The song was released as the album's lead single on January 28, 2013. "Remix (I Like The)" was written by Lars Halvor Jensen, Johannes Jørgensen, and Lemar, and it was produced by Deekay. The song features Donnie Wahlberg and Joey McIntyre on lead vocals.

"Remix (I Like The)" did not enter the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, becoming their first lead single to fail charting since "Be My Girl" (1986). Instead, the song peaked at number 38 on the Adult Pop Songs chart.

Critical reception

PopCrush gave the song 3.5 stars out of five. In her review Jessica Sager wrote, "The song sounds like an adult contemporary answer to The Wanted mixed with Bruno Mars‘ ‘Locked Out of Heaven.’ It has a danceable beat like many of the British bad boys’ tracks, but is stripped down and raw enough to pass for Mars’ latest radio smash as well." Carl Williott of Idolator commended the song's chorus, but criticized its "liberal use of Auto-Tune" and compared Donnie Wahlberg's vocals to Chad Kroeger.

Remix (TV series)

Remix was an Indian television series produced by Rose Audio Visuals, which used to air on STAR One. It was a hit among teenagers and had reruns on the same channel. The series is a remake of the popular Argentine soap Rebelde Way.

Concept

The story is based on the lives of 12th-grade students in an elite school called "Maurya High" for the kids of the rich and the famous, and scholarship students from poorer families.

The four main characters are Tia Ahuja (a fashion entrepreneur's only daughter: Sumit Ahuja), Anvesha Ray Banerjee (a Bollywood filmstar's only daughter: Sonia Ray), Yuvraaj Dev (brat son of India's politician: Yashwant Dev), and Ranveer Sisodia (a Rajasthani royal who comes to Maurya to avenge the death of his father which wasn't really Sumit Ahuja's fault). They form the music group "Remix" and become the singing sensation of the decade.

The story also brings into play other elements that shape the destiny of the four protagonists and many others.

Remix (Mushroomhead album)

The first Remix album released by Mushroomhead in 1997. All tracks are remixes except for "Everyone's Got One" (hence the subtitle "Only Mix"). The last portion of "Episode 29 (Hardcore Mix)" was used on the XX album as "Episode 29". The original release of the "Multimedia Remix" also included recordings of Mushroomhead performing "Born of Desire" and "Chancre Sore" at Nautica in Cleveland (now known as The Scene Pavilion) as well as a video for "Simpleton".

This is a list of prestige classes in the 3rd edition of the Dungeons and Dragons role-playing game. Prestige classes were introduced in third edition as a further means of individualizing a character. This list includes content for both the original 3rd edition and the 3.5 revision.

Nearly every official supplement source book and most issues of Dragon magazine introduced new prestige classes. This list does not include prestige classes from third-party material offered under the d20 System or the Open Game License. It also does not include prestige classes in video games based on Dungeons & Dragons, such as the Neverwinter Nights series.

Some prestige classes, such as the Bladesinger, Ur-Priest, and the Purple Dragon Knight, are printed in multiple sources. Sometimes there are slight revisions between these reprints, while others are exact duplications. As a result, there are fewer total prestige classes than the sum of those appearing in each source.

Chameleon (Battlestar Galactica)

Chameleon (pronounced Sha-meiel-e-n) is a character from the television series Battlestar Galactica, appearing in the installment "The Man with Nine Lives." He was an older gentleman, well versed in the art of flattery and misdirection, which he used to con unsuspecting Colonists out of the things he needed to survive. He is first introduced on a transport, talking with Siress Blassie, one of the older ladies, who appeared to be better off than most fleeing Colonists and whom he was probably setting up as a "mark." When the attendant asks him for his transportation ducat, he implies that he is a talent scout for the Fleet broadcast show "Heroes of the Fleet," which he is was just watching about Lt. Starbuck, saying that "ordinary" people, such as the attendant himself, should be interviewed. After saying that the man should report to the broadcast ship upon the completion of his duty round, Chameleon tells him "I already gave you my ducat, remember?" to which the man agrees.
