San Francisco, CA - A federal air marshal says a man who was arrested after causing a disturbance on a San Francisco-bound American Airlines flight twice tried to open the cockpit door, the second time after a crew member told him that the restroom was to his left.
In a court affidavit filed on Monday, Paul Howard says Rageh Al-Murisi (rah-GAY al-moor-EE'-see) then made eye contact with the crew member, lowered his shoulder and rammed the door. He says the crew member got between Al-Murisi and the door, but Al-Murisi kept yelling and pushing forward in an attempt to open it.
The 28-year-old Murisi was subdued and taken into custody after the flight landed safely at San Francisco International Airport.
He is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday on a charge of interfering with flight crew.

NEW YORK — A pilot put a Federal air marshal in his place and kicked him off the flight after the marshal complained about a flight attendant's service. The marshal is now suing the Transportation Safety Administration in Brooklyn Federal Court for suspending and demoting him, the New York Post reported.
David Maldonado pre-boarded a flight with two other Federal air marshals on August 4, 2012, the New York Daily News reported. According to Maldonado's lawsuit, before takeoff, a flight attendant spilled a tray of drinks on him and "responded by laughing sarcastically and walking away without apologizing ... or offering to clean the spill." He also claims she did it on purpose.
Then, according to Maldonado's lawsuit, the same flight attendant offered a selection of meals to his colleagues but only offered Maldonado the beef entree. When Maldonado tried to complain to the head flight attendant, he was told to take it up with the captain.
Upon entering the cockpit and threatening to make a formal complaint, Maldonado says he was berated by the pilot who said: "I didn't serve 21 f–king years in the military getting shot at so that you can threaten me with a f–king phone call!" Then, the lawsuit alleges that the pilot put his military ID in Maldonado's face and asked: "Who the f–k do you think you are, threatening me with a phone call?" The captain spoke with Maldonado's supervisor and got him kicked off the flight. According to the New York Daily News, Maldonado was suspended for a week following the confrontation.
He says his supervisor had been mistreating him since he filed discrimination complaints in 2007, saying that he had mental health issue and anger control problems, while his white peers were given a slap on the wrist for more serious issues like domestic violence and drinking while on the job, the New York Post reported.

I dusted off my trusty 220 and shot this drill with no warm up. My times weren't smoking but I completed each string well under the par time. The most difficult aspect of this drill for me was drawing from a real concealment holster with the somewhat snug fitting suit coat. I shot it with 27 "A"s and three "C"s that were just outside the A zone. I think the "Q" target "Bottle" is way to big a target for this sort of drill.

Air marshal
Air marshal (Air Mshl or AM) is a three-starair-officer rank which originated in and continues to be used by the Royal Air Force. The rank is also used by the air forces of many countries which have historical British influence and it is sometimes used as the English translation of an equivalent rank in countries which have a non-English air force-specific rank structure.
Officers in the rank of air marshal typically hold very senior appointments such as commander-in-chief of an air force or a large air force formation. Officers in the ranks of air chief marshal and air vice-marshal are also referred to generically as air marshals. Occasionally, air force officers of marshal rank are considered to be air marshals.
Seniority
Air marshal is a three-star rank and has a NATO ranking code of OF-8, equivalent to a vice-admiral in the Royal Navy or a lieutenant-general in the British Army or the Royal Marines.
The rank of air marshal is immediately senior to the rank of air vice-marshal and immediately subordinate to the rank of air chief marshal.

Sky marshal
A sky marshal (also known as air marshal, flight marshal, or FAM) is an undercover law enforcement or counter terrorist agent on board a commercial aircraft to counter aircraft hijackings. Sky marshals may be provided by airlines such as El Al (who provide sky marshals on every flight), or by government agencies such as the Austrian Einsatzkommando Cobra, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, German Federal Police, National Security Guard in India, Metropolitan Police SO18 (Aviation Security Operational Command Unit) or US Federal Air Marshal Service.
History
Australia
In response to the September 11 incidents, the Commonwealth instituted an Air Security Officer (ASO) Program under the Australian Federal Police in December 2001. These officers are generally referred to in the media as Sky Marshals. The ASO Programme provides a discreet anti-hijacking capability for Australian civil aviation by providing armed security personnel on board aircraft. This involves both random and intelligence-led placement of armed ASOs on flights operated by Australian registered air carriers, on both domestic and international flights.

Federal Air (incorporating Pelican Air Services) is an airline headquartered in Hangar 14 on the grounds of OR Tambo International Airport in Kempton Park, Ekurhuleni, Gauteng, South Africa, near Johannesburg.
It operates air shuttle, scheduled and charter services throughout Africa for business and the tourist industry. Its main base is OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg, with hubs at Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, Nelspruit and Vilanculos Airport.

The airline was originally known as Comair Charters (Natal). and became branded as Federal Air in 1993, fondly known as "Fedair". Federal Air later purchased Pelican Air Services, expanding into the scheduled services business, with a route between Johannesburg, Nelspruit and Vilanculos in Mozambique, home of the beautiful Bazaruto Archipeligos. I dusted off my trusty 220 and shot this drill with no warm up. My times weren't smoking but I completed each string well under the par time. The most difficult aspect of this drill for me was drawing from a real concealment holster with the somewhat snug fitting suit coat. I shot it with 27 "A"s and three "C"s that were just outside the A zone. I think the "Q" target "Bottle" is way to big a target for this sort of drill.

Marshal: Flight Suspect Tried To Open Cockpit Door
San Francisco, CA - A federal air marshal says a man who was arrested after causing a disturbance on a San Francisco-bound American Airlines flight twice tried to open the cockpit door, the second time after a crew member told him that the restroom was to his left. In a court affidavit filed on Monday, Paul Howard says Rageh Al-Murisi (rah-GAY al-moor-EE'-see) then made eye contact with the crew member, lowered his shoulder and rammed the door. He says the crew member got between Al-Murisi and the door, but Al-Murisi kept yelling and pushing forward in an attempt to open it. The 28-year-old Murisi was subdued and taken into custody after the flight landed safely at San Francisco International Airport. NEW YORK — A pilot put a Federal air marshal in his place and kicked him off the flight after the marshal complained about a flight attendant's service. The marshal is now suing the Transportation Safety Administration in Brooklyn Federal Court for suspending and demoting him, the New York Post reported. David Maldonado pre-boarded a flight with two other Federal air marshals on August 4, 2012, the New York Daily News reported. According to Maldonado's lawsuit, before takeoff, a flight attendant spilled a tray of drinks on him and "responded by laughing sarcastically and walking away without apologizing ... or offering to clean the spill." San Francisco, CA - A federal air marshal says a man who was arrested after causing a disturbance on a San Francisco-bound American Airlines flight twice tried to open the cockpit door, the second time after a crew member told him that the restroom was to his left.
In a court affidavit filed on Monday, Paul Howard says Rageh Al-Murisi (rah-GAY al-moor-EE'-see) then made eye contact with the crew member, lowered his shoulder and rammed the door. He says the crew member got between Al-Murisi and the door, but Al-Murisi kept yelling and pushing forward in an attempt to open it.
The 28-year-old Murisi was subdued and taken into custody after the flight landed safely at San Francisco International Airport.
He is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday on a charge of interfering with flight crew.

NEW YORK — A pilot put a Federal air marshal in his place and kicked him off the flight after the marshal complained about a flight attendant's service. The marshal is now suing the Transportation Safety Administration in Brooklyn Federal Court for suspending and demoting him, the New York Post reported.
David Maldonado pre-boarded a flight with two other Federal air marshals on August 4, 2012, the New York Daily News reported. According to Maldonado's lawsuit, before takeoff, a flight attendant spilled a tray of drinks on him and "responded by laughing sarcastically and walking away without apologizing ... or offering to clean the spill." He also claims she did it on purpose.
Then, according to Maldonado's lawsuit, the same flight attendant offered a selection of meals to his colleagues but only offered Maldonado the beef entree. When Maldonado tried to complain to the head flight attendant, he was told to take it up with the captain.
Upon entering the cockpit and threatening to make a formal complaint, Maldonado says he was berated by the pilot who said: "I didn't serve 21 f–king years in the military getting shot at so that you can threaten me with a f–king phone call!" Then, the lawsuit alleges that the pilot put his military ID in Maldonado's face and asked: "Who the f–k do you think you are, threatening me with a phone call?" The captain spoke with Maldonado's supervisor and got him kicked off the flight. According to the New York Daily News, Maldonado was suspended for a week following the confrontation.
He says his supervisor had been mistreating him since he filed discrimination complaints in 2007, saying that he had mental health issue and anger control problems, while his white peers were given a slap on the wrist for more serious issues like domestic violence and drinking while on the job, the New York Post reported.

I dusted off my trusty 220 and shot this drill with no warm up. My times weren't smoking but I completed each string well under the par time. The most difficult aspect of this drill for me was drawing from a real concealment holster with the somewhat snug fitting suit coat. I shot it with 27 "A"s and three "C"s that were just outside the A zone. I think the "Q" target "Bottle" is way to big a target for this sort of drill.
