China releases one of detained Crown casino staff

One of 18 Crown Resorts employees detained a month ago in China has been released on bail, suggesting authorities have concluded their preliminary investigations and could soon move to formally arrest and then charge those remaining in custody.

Tian Di, a major provider of Chinese high rollers to Crown Casino, has been detained in mainland China.

Crown's Chinese middleman caught up in Crown raids

Melbourne-based junket operator Tian Di was among a number of non-Crown employees detained alongside 18 of the casino group's staff in China last month. "He's disappeared off the face of the earth," a source says.
