The Neighbourhood (sometimes rendered as "THE NBHD") is an American alternative rock band formed in Newbury Park, California in 2011. The band is composed of vocalist Jesse Rutherford, guitarists Jeremy Freedman and Zach Abels, bassist Mikey Margott, and drummer Brandon Abel Fried. After releasing three EPs, I'm Sorry... "The Love collection" and Thank You, The Neighbourhood released their first full-length album, I Love You., on April 23, 2013, via Columbia Records. In November 2014, they released a mixtape titled "#000000 & #FFFFFF". The band's second album Wiped Out! was released on October 30, 2015.

History

Formation and I Love You. (2011–2013)

The band members chose the British spelling of 'neighbourhood' on the advice of their manager, in order to distinguish themselves from a band already using the American spelling.

In early 2012, The Neighbourhood came together to release "Female Robbery" and "Sweater Weather". In May 2012, the band unveiled a self-released free EP titled I'm Sorry.... The debut EP was produced by Justyn Pilbrow. In December 2012, The Neighbourhood released their second EP entitled Thank You. It included the songs "Let It Go" and "A Little Death".

Tenth Avenue, known as Amsterdam Avenue between 59th Street and 193rd Street, is a north-south thoroughfare on the West Side of Manhattan in New York City. It carries uptown (northbound) traffic as far as West 110th Street – also known as Cathedral Parkway for the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine – after which it continues as a two-way street.

Geography

Tenth Avenue begins a block below Gansevoort Street and Eleventh Avenue in the West Village / Meatpacking District. For the southernmost stretch (the four blocks below 14th Street), Tenth Avenue runs southbound. North of 14th Street, Tenth Avenue runs uptown (northbound) for 45 blocks as a one-way street until its intersection with West 59th Street, where it becomes Amsterdam Avenue but continues without interruption. Amsterdam Avenue continues as a one-way street northbound until Cathedral Parkway, where two-way traffic resumes.

As Amsterdam Avenue, the thoroughfare stretches 129 blocks north – narrowing to one lane in each direction as it passes through Yeshiva University's Wilf Campus, between 184th and 186th Streets – before connecting with Fort George Avenue south of Highbridge Park at West 193rd Street.

Tenth Avenue North

Tenth Avenue North (stylized as tenth avenue north) is an American contemporary Christian music (CCM) band from West Palm Beach, Florida that takes its name from an east-west road in Palm Beach County. The group was formed while members attended Palm Beach Atlantic University. It features Mike Donehey on vocals and acoustic guitar, Jeff Owen on electric guitar and backup vocals, Ruben Juarez III on bass guitar and backup vocals, Jason Jamison on drums and Brendon Shirley on keyboard. The band has released four studio albums.

History

Tenth Avenue North released three independent albums and an EP before its major label debut. Its debut album, Over and Underneath, was released on May 20, 2008, on Reunion Records, and the band began a tour in promotion of the album near that time. The song "Love Is Here" hit the Top 20 on the U.S. Contemporary Christian Music chart, and reached No. 3 by June 21, 2008. It spent 13 weeks on Billboard's Christian Songs chart, peaking at No. 3. and ended 2008 as the 12th most-played song on Christian Hit Radio according to R&R magazine's Christian CHR chart for the year.
