Michael Alan Weiner (born March 31, 1942), better known by his professional name Michael Savage, is an American radio host, author, activist, nutritionist, and conservative political commentator. He is the host of The Savage Nation, a nationally syndicated talk show that aired on Talk Radio Network across the United States until 2012, and in 2009 was the second most listened-to radio talk show in the country with an audience of over 20 million listeners on 400 stations across the United States. Since October 23, 2012, Michael Savage has been syndicated by Cumulus Media Networks. He holds master's degrees from the University of Hawaii in medical botany and medical anthropology, and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in nutritional ethnomedicine. As Michael Weiner, he has written books on nutrition, herbal medicine, and homeopathy; as Michael Savage, he has written four political books that have reached The New York Times Best Seller List.
Savage has summarized his political philosophy in three words: borders, language, and culture. Savage has characterized his views as conservative nationalism, while critics have characterized them as "fostering extremism or hatred." He opposes illegal immigration to the United States, supports the English-only movement and argues that liberalism and progressivism are degrading American culture. Although his radio delivery is mainly characterized as politically themed, he also often covers topics such as medicine, nutrition, music, literature, history, theology, philosophy, sports, business, economics, and culture, and tells personal anecdotes.
Cumulus Media Networks was an American radio network owned and operated by Cumulus Media. From 2011 until its merger with Westwood One, it controlled many of the radio assets formerly belonging to the American Broadcasting Company (ABC), which was broken up in 2007; Cumulus owned the portion of the network that was purchased by Citadel Broadcasting that year. The network adopted its final name in September 2011, following Cumulus's acquisition of Citadel; prior to this, it had been known as Citadel Media Networks since April 2009, after licensing the "ABC Radio Networks" name from The Walt Disney Company for nearly two years. ABC now operates a revived ABC Radio Network that owns no stations but produces (mostly short-form) audio content.
It was also (as ABC Radio Networks) the penultimate of the major radio networks to still be owned by its original founding company until 2007, CBS Radio being the last. Mutual Broadcasting Network was dissolved in 1999 and then NBC Radio Network, after selling all of its stations in 1988, followed suit in 2004.
There are two types of radio networks currently in use around the world: the one-to-many broadcast network commonly used for public information and mass media entertainment; and the two-way radio type used more commonly for public safety and public services such as police, fire, taxicabs, and delivery services. Cell Phones are able to send and receive simultaneously by using two different frequencies at the same time. Many of the same components and much of the same basic technology applies to all three.
The Two-way type of radio network shares many of the same technologies and components as the Broadcast type radio network but is generally set up with fixed broadcast points (transmitters) with co-located receivers and mobile receivers/transmitters or Transceivers. In this way both the fixed and mobile radio units can communicate with each other over broad geographic regions ranging in size from small single cities to entire states/provinces or countries. There are many ways in which multiple fixed transmit/receive sites can be interconnected to achieve the range of coverage required by the jurisdiction or authority implementing the system: conventional wireless links in numerous frequency bands, fibre-optic links, or micro-wave links. In all of these cases the signals are typically backhauled to a central switch of some type where the radio message is processed and resent (repeated) to all transmitter sites where it is required to be heard.
Cumulus Media, Inc. (and its subsidiaries, Cumulus Broadcasting LLC, Cumulus Licensing LLC and Broadcast Software International Inc ) is an American broadcasting company and is the second largest owner and operator of AM and FM radio stations in the United States, behind iHeartMedia, Inc. (formerly Clear Channel Communications), operating 460 stations in 90 markets as of February 27, 2014 as compared to 570 stations in 150 markets as of September 16, 2011. The company also owns Westwood One. Cumulus's headquarters are located in Atlanta, Georgia.
Cumulus' original business plan focused exclusively on owning radio stations located in medium-sized media markets, and Cumulus Media only owns terrestrial radio stations in the United States; rival iHeartMedia, Inc. owns radio stations outside the United States and operates a subsidiary, Clear Channel Outdoor.
Sean Patrick Hannity (born December 30, 1961) is an American radio and television host, author, and conservative political commentator. He is the host of The Sean Hannity Show, a nationally syndicated talk radio show that airs throughout the United States. Hannity also hosts a cable news show, Hannity, on Fox News Channel. Hannity has written three New York Times–bestselling books:Let Freedom Ring: Winning the War of Liberty over Liberalism, Deliver Us from Evil: Defeating Terrorism, Despotism, and Liberalism, and Conservative Victory: Defeating Obama’s Radical Agenda.
Sean Patrick Hannity was born in New York City, New York, the son of Lillian (Flynn) and Hugh Hannity. All of his grandparents immigrated to the United States from Ireland. He has two sisters. He grew up in Franklin Square, New York, and attended Sacred Heart Seminary in Hempstead, New York, during his middle school years and St. Pius X Preparatory Seminary high school in Uniondale, New York. Hannity dropped out of New York University and Adelphi University.
Conservative radio host Michael Savage teased a "major announcement" on his website earlier today, and tonight, he delivered. Savage predicted that he will be replacing Sean Hannity's time slot on Cumulus Media's network of stations. While Hannity's fate appeared to be tied to that of Rush Limbaugh in the initial reports on the Cumulus move, Mediaite has learned from a talk radio source Limbaugh is likely to stay. Mediaite has also learned from multiple talk radio sources that Savage's prediction will likely be confirmed soon.I predict, right here, right now, that I Michael Savage and the Savage Nation is going to take over The Sean Hannity Show time slot by the end of the year," Savage said. "He's probably a nice guy, but his time is come and his time has gone," he continued, and "I am th...

This is the first hour of the undisputed King of the Country Countdown's show, Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40. Now, I don't listen to country music on a regular basis (if at all). However, I've been listening to some classic episodes of American Country Countdown, and Bob is excellent. Now, I checked through the music policies, and most of these songs here are acceptable. There was one I had to scope out, I think you'll notice. This first hour is directly from the website of Radio Express, the company that internationally syndicates this show and others like it. So, I'd like to thank Tom Rounds and his company for posting it. From its humble beginnings as a single rock station in Dallas, Tx., Z Rock (owned by the ABC Radio Network, now Cumulus Media Networks) grew to anchor the network's 24 hour satellite format, also known as “Satellite Music Network” Programming features such as Blistering Leads, Wounded Radio, Back Rockwards, Bad Ass CD Side and Old Stuff For an Hour, kept the dweebs locked in. Loud and obnoxious personalities were the norm, with on air hosts such as Crankin Craig, Sharkman, Dave Bolt, Loud Debi Dowd, Madd Maxx Hammer and Scorchin' Scotty crammin' it down your throat on a daily basis. Albuquerque's Z-Rock was based in the studio complex at the corner of Edith and Baker Lane NE in the North Valley. At the time I lived at the north end of Edith NE and every so often I would come across so...
In 2006, after Bob Kingsley left American Country Countdown, whoever owned this show (might've still been ABC), in their [sarcasm]infinite wisdom[/sarcasm], decided to bring in Kix Brooks of Brooks and Dunn to replace him. Frankly, Kix Brooks is to this show what Ryan Seacrest is to American Top 40. OK, so maybe Kix does have one thing on Seacrest, Kix is an actual musician. You'll notice that ACC is more "bro-country" than anything else. Bob was wise to jump ship when he did. Now, I checked through the music policies, and most of these songs here are acceptable. There were two I had to scope out, I think you'll notice. This first hour is directly from the website of Radio Express, the company that internationally syndicates this show and others like it.
