While the bizarre incident has piqued mainstream media interest, it is part of a broader pattern of death and injury on the job. Thousands of US workers died from job-related injury or accidents in 2019. Millions of workers die each year due to such issues, something neglected in the mainstream’s predictably sensationalist coverage of the story. Filmmaker and author Sean Stone shares his insights.
