Confectionery store

A confectionery store (more commonly referred to as a sweet shop in the United Kingdom, a candy store in North America, or a lolly shop in Australia) sells confectionery and is usually targeted to children. Most confectionery stores are filled with an assortment of sweets far larger than a grocer or convenience store could accommodate. They often offer a selection of old-fashioned treats and sweets from different countries. Very often unchanged in layout since their inception, confectioneries are known for their warming and nostalgic feel. The village of Pateley Bridge claims to have the oldest confectionery store in England.

History

Haci Bekir Efendi, confectioner which was established in 1777 in Istanbul is one of the oldest trademarks in the world.

Akisato Ritō's Miyako meisho zue (An Illustrated Guide to the Capital) from 1787 describes a confectionery store situated near the Great Buddha erected by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, then one of Kyoto's most important tourist attractions.

I Love

"I Love" is a song written and recorded by American country music artist Tom T. Hall. It was released in October 1973 as the only single from the album, For the People in the Last Hard Town. The song would be Hall's most successful single and was his fourth number one on the U.S. country singles chart. The single spent two weeks at the top and a total of 15 weeks on the chart. "I Love" was Hall's only entry on the Top 40 peaking at number 12.

The Lonely Biscuits

The Lonely Biscuits are an American indie band. The band consists of Grady Wenrich (vocals, guitar), Sam Gidley (drums), and Nick Byrd (bass). The Lonely Biscuits formed in September 2011 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, where Grady Wenrich and Sam Gidley were roommates. John Paterini, current lead singer of the band, came into the picture later in the month after hearing some of their music from his dorm room across the hall. Two months later, Nick Byrd joined the band as an official "biscuit" playing bass guitar.

Gravy and the Biscuits

The Lonely Biscuits was formed in September 2011 by Grady Wenrich and Sam Gidley, who were random roommates at Belmont University. John Paterini lived across the hall and heard them playing music. John's voice blended well with Grady's rap and the band formed under the name "Gravy and the Biscuits." The band quickly became known for their unusual blend of soul, funk, hip hop and pop, with their first release "Butter" quickly reaching 25,000 views on YouTube. About a month after the release they played their first live show at 'Elberta,' a Belmont student-house known for parties and live shows. Hundreds of Belmont students came to see them perform. They soon released an EP by the name of "Soul Food" which they made available as a free download.

Going On

"Going On" is the second single taken from Gnarls Barkley's second studio album The Odd Couple. It is played in an upbeat hip hop and blues style. The track is also featured on the video game NBA 2K9. It was nominated at the 2009 Grammy Awards for 'Best Pop Performance'. "Going On" uses a sample from the track "Folder Man" by Please. The sample is repeated throughout the song, and comes from 1:30-1:35 from the original song. The song is also featured in a 2010 FIFA World Cup commercial by Puma AG, entitled 'The Journey of Football', featuring the Ghanaian national football team. The single was only released on a promotional format.

The music video was released on May 9, 2008. It was shot in Jamaica and revolves around a group of people celebrating the discovery of a door that leads to another dimension. Gnarls Barkley does not appear in the video, but one of the main characters does the lip-synching of the song for the first verse. After that, the lead male and female in the video carry the door to a distant field. They then watch as the door opens. The female then throws a rock through the open doorway and, as it reaches the threshold, the space inside the frame splits into several shards of different colors. The two crouch down slowly in front of the door, exchange a glance, and then the male sprints toward the open door and disappears. On the other side of the door, where the male would have appeared had he not disappeared, the words "DON'T FOLLOW ME" appear. The female doesn't see the words and also sprints towards the door and likewise disappears.
