A learner driver - and a shocked witness - have ended up in hospital after a car smashed through several fences and came to a stop in a front yard in Melbourne's north-western suburbs.
It's believed the 44-year-old woman had been turning left in Kings Park when she lost control and ploughed through several properties before her car hit a wall, a police spokesman said.
The damaged car finally stopped in the front yard of a Wattle Avenue home just after midday on Sunday.

The injured woman was taken to hospital in a critical condition, an Ambulance Victoria spokesman said.
She was a learner driver but the only person inside the vehicle, police said.
A nearby resident, however, also suffered shock from witnessing the suburban destruction and had to be in taken to hospital as a precaution, he said.
The driver was undergoing further medical assessment at the Western Hospital in Footscray on Sunday night but was listed in a stable condition.
Police are continuing to investigate what caused the crash.
