What you need
- sheet of card
- coloured paper
- drawing paper
- markers
- scissors
- tape
- glue
- pipe cleaners and/or wool for decoration
- paddle pop stick
Activity
Plan and sketch some animal mask ideas.
Cut out your animal face shape.
Measure eye holes so that the mask is customised to your child’s face and cut these out.
Cut out paper shapes for mane, ears, eyelashes, nose or other details.
Glue your ears and other bits and bobs to your face shape.
Glue on pipe cleaners, wool or other decorations.
Draw on any extra features.
Finally, tape the paddle pop stick to the edge on the non-decorated side of the mask, so your child can hold the mask to their face.
