Earlier this year, Mattel introduced us to their more diverse range of Barbies that included various different body types and skin tones. Now, Myer is giving your kids the chance to design their own customisable Barbie Doll just in time for Christmas.  Do you think it would be weird to buy one for myself? Yeah, you’re right. It’s probably weird.

At the Barbie pop up stores located in Myers in Highpoint, Chadstone, Sydney, Chatswood, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth from the 21st of October, kids will be able to:

  •  Choose different body shapes for your own Barbie or Ken
  •  Select preferred hair colour/ethnicity
  • Select an outfit

The dolls will be hand assembled in-store according to the selection made on in-store tablets.

Seriously though, what if I bought one of myself and just pretended it was like, a collector item?  Still weird? Ok fine.
