“Tommy loved my curves.”

Last week, Tommy Hilfiger’s comments on Gigi Hadid's body went viral. Yahoo reported that Hilfiger had suggested a stylist on his team wanted to cover Hadid’s body up after noting she didn’t quite fit in amongst the other models.

“People think it’s something I wasn’t aware of,” Hadid told Access Hollywood. “When Tommy said it last week it was in context of a larger story that wasn't shown in that video.”

Hadid went on to defend Hilfiger and the choice of the poncho.

“Tommy was rooting for me and regardless of what the stylist of that season said or what he put me in, Tommy wanted me in the show, and Tommy was pushing for me and Tommy loved my curves.”

Hadid’s comments come after Hilfiger released a statement verifying his comments and calling Hadid “the definition of a ‘Tommy Girl.'"

“The next season I wore a bikini on the same runway with the same stylist of the show that had previously put me in a poncho,” Gigi concluded.

So that’s the end of that chapter. Right?
