On June 28, 2014, an eleven story under-construction building at Moulivakkam in the suburb of Chennai, Tamil Nadu collapsed, killing 61 people, mostly construction workers.[1]

Prime Trust Heights is a residential project developed by Prime Sristi Housing Pvt Ltd. Trust height has two towers one is THE FAITH and second tower is called as THE BELIEF. It's a twin eleven storied apartment blocks situated on Kundrathur road near Porur junction. Tower "The Faith" has four apartments of 2 bhk and Tower the Belief" has 4 apts of 3bhk in each floor. Number of 2 bed room flats - 60 Number of 3 bed room flats - 26
Units were priced at 5250 per sq/ft.[2]

After heavy rain on Saturday, June 28, an under-construction building at Moulivakkam, a suburb of Chennai collapsed at 5.30pm trapping many constructions workers under the debris.
Rescue Operations[edit]
Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue force along with National Disaster Response Force NDRF from Arakkonam base managed the rescue operations.
The final death toll was 61 people consisting constructions workers from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh and Gajapathi district of Orrisa.

I got a chance to drive in Chennai City located in Tamil Nadu, India. It was a great experience to see a lot of traffic and a multicultural population. Chennai, formerly known as Madras is one of the largest metropolitan cities in India. It is ranked as one of the 50 most populated cities in the world (yes, the world). It is the capital of the South Indian state Tamil Nadu, and most people speak Tamil and English here.
I drove a lot around Saidapet, K.K Nagar, Anna Salai, Adyar and T.Nagar. These are the prime areas of Chennai city. However, most of my footage is useless because of my bad videography and bumpy roads. I hope you will find it interesting to watch this video of driving in Chennai.

2015 South Indian floods
The 2015 South Indian floods resulted from heavy rainfall generated by the annual northeast monsoon in November–December 2015. They affected the Coromandel Coast region of the South Indian states of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, and the union territory of Puducherry, with Tamil Nadu and the city of Chennai particularly hard-hit. More than 500 people were killed and over 18 lakh (1.8 million) people were displaced. With estimates of damages and losses ranging from ₹50000 crore (US$7 billion) to ₹100000 crore (US$15 billion), the floods were the costliest to have occurred in 2015, and were among the costliest natural disasters of the year. The flooding has been attributed to the El Niño phenomenon.

From October to December each year, a very large area of South India, including Tamil Nadu, the coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh and the union territory of Puducherry, receives up to 30 percent of its annual rainfall from the northeast monsoon (or winter monsoon). The northeast monsoon is the result of the annual gradual retreat of monsoonal rains from northeastern India. Unlike during the regular monsoon, rainfall during the northeast monsoon is sporadic, but typically far exceeds the amount produced by the regular monsoon by up to 90 percent. This excessive rainfall can be exacerbated by an El Nino year, which 2015 was.

I got a chance to drive in Chennai City located in Tamil Nadu, India. It was a great experience to see a lot of traffic and a multicultural population. Chennai, formerly known as Madras is one of the largest metropolitan cities in India. It is ranked as one of the 50 most populated cities in the world (yes, the world). It is the capital of the South Indian state Tamil Nadu, and most people speak Tamil and English here. I drove a lot around Saidapet, K.K Nagar, Anna Salai, Adyar and T.Nagar. These are the prime areas of Chennai city. However, most of my footage is useless because of my bad videography and bumpy roads. Prime Trust Heights is a residential project developed by Prime Sristi Housing Pvt Ltd. Trust height has two towers one is THE FAITH and second tower is called as THE BELIEF. It's a twin eleven storied apartment blocks situated on Kundrathur road near Porur junction. Tower "The Faith" has four apartments of 2 bhk and Tower the Belief" has 4 apts of 3bhk in each floor. Number of 2 bed room flats - 60 Number of 3 bed room flats - 26
Units were priced at 5250 per sq/ft.[2]

After heavy rain on Saturday, June 28, an under-construction building at Moulivakkam, a suburb of Chennai collapsed at 5.30pm trapping many constructions workers under the debris.
Rescue Operations[edit]
Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue force along with National Disaster Response Force NDRF from Arakkonam base managed the rescue operations.
The final death toll was 61 people consisting constructions workers from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh and Gajapathi district of Orrisa.

I got a chance to drive in Chennai City located in Tamil Nadu, India. It was a great experience to see a lot of traffic and a multicultural population. Chennai, formerly known as Madras is one of the largest metropolitan cities in India. It is ranked as one of the 50 most populated cities in the world (yes, the world). It is the capital of the South Indian state Tamil Nadu, and most people speak Tamil and English here.
I drove a lot around Saidapet, K.K Nagar, Anna Salai, Adyar and T.Nagar. These are the prime areas of Chennai city. However, most of my footage is useless because of my bad videography and bumpy roads. I hope you will find it interesting to watch this video of driving in Chennai.

The catastrophic flooding in Chennai is the result of the heaviest rain in several decades, which forced authorities to release a massive 30,000 cusecs from the Chembarambakkam reservoir into the Adyar river over two days, causing it to flood its banks and submerge neighbourhoods on both sides. It did not help that the Adyar’s stream is not very deep or wide, and its banks have been heavily encroached upon over the years. These are the places i stumbled upon while going around. I am also sure there are many pretty and clean parts, i just never found them.

This is a video I made of my real experience of Chennai. I was not trying to show it in a bad way. I actually enjoyed the slums and fish sellers, it was real, living and breathing life. These are the places i stumbled upon while going around. I am also sure there are many pretty and clean parts, i just never found them.

Synopsis:
Ajay (Shiva), an educated youth comes to Chennai from his hometown Theni to take up a job. Anjali (Priya Anand), a photographer from London is also in the city to capture the South Indian culture on camera.
The duo is deceived by Narayanan (Santhanam), a real estate broker, who rents out unoccupied houses without informing the house owners. Ajay and Anjali pay the rental money to Narayanan and end up signing the same house. Unable to find another house to rent, the duo decides to stay together till they find Narayanan. They squabble and argue a lot, but soon Ajay falls in love with Anjali. However, he does not reveal her of his feelings. After taking her on a trip to his hometown, he realises that she does not reciprocate his feelings. Soon, Ajay tracks down Narayanan (in a chance encounter earlier, Ajay pockets Narayanan's address from his wallet) and blames him for the misery in his life, because it was Narayanan's trickery that brought them together and now Ajay cannot live without her love. Narayanan decides to help Ajay and he visits the house under the pretense of being Ajay's friend "Billa". He tries to make Anjali fall for Ajay. Anjali's fiance Deepak (Rahul Ravindran) then gives Anjali a surprise visit, just as when she begins to enjoy Ajay's company. Narayanan continues to try to get Ajay and Anjali together, with no success.
On the night of Anjali's birthday, Ajay decides that she will never love him, and resorts to drinking after being depressed. Meanwhile, Anjali realises that she loves Ajay, but is angry at his behaviour under the influence of alcohol. The next day, she goes to the wedding of Ajay's colleague as his wife (his colleagues think she is his wife) and looks for him there. Just when they find each other and are about to confess their feelings for one another, due to a misunderstanding, Anjali thinks that Ajay and Narayanan are tricksters and have planned the whole same-house plot. Enraged, she returns to London.
Three months later, as Anjali wins her photography contest, Deepak tells her that Narayanan had told him everything from scratch, and convinces her that she loves Ajay and vice versa. Anjali comes back to their apartment, and looks for Ajay, but does not find him. At the same moment, Ajay opens the door and finds his passport that he was looking for. Anjali meets him at last and is thrilled. She asks him why he did not come to woo her for three months in London. Ajay tells her that he had just received his passport and was planning on leaving to the airport. As the two reconcile, Narayanan enters, with a prospective victim (Udhayanidhi Stalin) to trick, and shows him the house. The film concludes showing the same deceiving trick that brought the couple together.

Slowly we gain momentum as we race through the suburbs after crawling its way upto Basin Bridge Junction. Enroute, we cross quite a few trains. I wrongly mention the 16022 Mysore (MYS)- Chennai Central (MAS) KAVERI Express as MALGUDI Express. Stations like Arakkonam Junction, Katpadi Junction, Jolarpettai Junction, Bangarapet Junction, Gudiyattam, Tyakal and others are skipped, as we continue the non-stop Chennai- Bangalore run, being the only train to do so. Being a high priority train, we enjoy awesome clearance, finally arriving at Bangalore City ahead of time. As we disembark the train, the WAM- 4 makes its way to a GOC WDP- 4B, and the train heads for Mysore. Sadly, a crazy woman jumps off the train at the last moment, and breaking her leg in the process. So I was forced to stop the video, and rush to help her.
Enjoy the ride in the luxury train through the scenic railway route, connecting the Capital cities of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

The journey was done a year ago, and the link of our 12007 Chennai Central (MAS)- Bangalore City (SBC) SHATABDI Express was an AJJ WAM- 4 6PE.
The departure from Chennai Central was a routine one at 06:00, 10 minutes before the RAJDHANI Epress, which is spotted at the other platform. Slowly we gain momentum as we race through the suburbs after crawling its way upto Basin Bridge Junction. Enroute, we cross quite a few trains. I wrongly mention the 16022 Mysore (MYS)- Chennai Central (MAS) KAVERI Express as MALGUDI Express. Stations like Arakkonam Junction, Katpadi Junction, Jolarpettai Junction, Bangarapet Junction, Gudiyattam, Tyakal and others are skipped, as we continue the non-stop Chennai- Bangalore run, being the only train to do so. Being a high priority train, we enjoy awesome clearance, finally arriving at Bangalore City ahead of time. As we disembark the train, the WAM- 4 makes its way to a GOC WDP- 4B, and the train heads for Mysore. Sadly, a crazy woman jumps off the train at the last moment, and breaking her leg in the process. So I was forced to stop the video, and rush to help her.
Enjoy the ride in the luxury train through the scenic railway route, connecting the Capital cities of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
