Now might be the best time to book a ticket to Paris.

IT SEEMED too good to be true — airfares to European destinations like Paris and Rome starting from as little as $603 return.

Insanely cheap return airfare deals posted on iwantthatflight.com.au listed flights to Paris from Perth starting at just $603.

From the east coast, flights from Melbourne were just a few dollars more at $607, while Brisbane started at $613 and Sydney $621.

It’s a similar story for flights to Rome that saw return airfares from Melbourne starting at an incredible $640 and Sydney, $662.

The deals were with Virgin Australia and Singapore Airlines for specific dates throughout February and March.

Virgin Australia has since confirmed it was a “glitch” and the deals have been removed.

A Virgin Australia spokesman said: “unfortunately due to a technical glitch, some fares seen on the I Want That Flight website this morning were a bit too good to be true. We are working to have this rectified and apologise for any confusion this may have caused.”

Those lucky enough to have scored a flight, however, will have their bookings honoured.

Online pricing glitches happen from time to time, which is why it pays to keep an eye out on comparison and booking sites for the latest deals.

There were other incredibly cheap deals on offer to London, Beijing and Seoul among others. A return flight to London with Virgin Australia was listed at $717 return and a return flight to Beijing on Singapore Airlines started at $243.

Even the normally expensive flight to South Korea had been slashed to $269 return.

Comments posted on the Ozbargain.com.au website showed that some were able to complete a booking while others had issues, depending on the site they booked it through.

As always when booking online, be aware of any add-on costs, such as taxes and booking fees, which will bump up the total cost.

Also, keep an eye on the total flight time as cheaper flights often involve inconvenient and lengthy layovers.
