THIS is the heart-stopping moment a shopper knocks over four brand new TVs, worth more than £5000 (AU$8000).

According to The Sun, the red-faced customer was seen on CCTV knocking the top-of-the-range TVs over like dominoes.

He was caught checking out one unit, which he accidentally knocked over.

It then toppled into another and they both crashed on the floor.

The nightmare continued for the horrified man as he stepped back in shock and put his hand out, knocking over another two.

CCTV of the incident and the horrified shopper and staff has been released by HBH Woolacotts store in St Austell, Cornwall, UK.

Mike Collins, assistant manager at the store, said: “Staff were devastated when it happened.

”I had been on a day off but came back and watched the footage. My manager just said ‘You will never guess what has happened’. I was very shocked.”

Mr Collins said that a curved Samsung and two Panasonic TVs were among those damaged.

He could not confirm whether the customer paid for any damage. HBH Woolacotts have since shared the moment on its Twitter account.

Alongside the video they wrote: “That’s a bad day: Customer at our St. Austell store damages over £5000 (AU$8000) worth of TVs, including a curved OLED! Ouch!”

The store says the television sets have now all been sent off for repair.
