gu: Unemployed, The - Funky Thing Pt1
Cat No,: Cotillion 44085

gu: Wilson, Jackie - Shaka A Leg
one of Jackie Wilson's best funky tracks - "Shake A Leg". released as a b-side to "It's All Over" - Cat-No. is Brunswick B55504 (or just 55504 for the Promo-45).
also released on the BGP-compilation "SuperFunk Is Back".

gu: DeSanto, Sugar Pie - A Little Taste of Soul
I heard this first on the CD Compilation "Funky Divas" which showcases female singers that were supported/produced by James Brown. it took me a while, but I finally found a clean original copy.
Cat. No. Wax 14
Released in 1964
a different version was already released in 1962 though, but I prefer this one.
and it was also written by Sugar Pie DeSanto.

gu: Calloway, Ricky - Tell Me
Re-released on Kay Dee Records on a 45 as well as a 12". now while some say that Kay Dee didn't license it correctly, Ricky Calloway is now back on stage for a while as well as recording again and therefore thankful for the re-release of this and "Get It Right". you may find Rickey Calloway on facebook. he released two new recordings in 2010 and two so far in 2011. my favourite is "Stay In The Groove Part 1" on Fnr. his name is usually spelled Rickey.

gu: Brass Construction - Take It Easy
this was re-released on Kay Dee Records in a Kenny Dope Edit as a 45 as well as on a Mini-LP of the same name.

gu: A.A.B.B. (Above Average Black Band) - Pick Up The Pieces One By One
This is basically an overdubbed version of "Hot Pants Road" - Japan's Osaka Monaurail put out two 45s with their versions, split to "Hot Pants Road Pt 1 b/w Pick Up The Pieces One By One Pt. 2" and "Pick Up The Pieces One By One Pt. 1 b/w Hot Pants Road Pt. 2" (both on RD Records, released in 2005).

Pinto Galli: Nu Sound Express - Ain't It Good Enough
There are two different pressings. One has the writing in green, the other in black with a 'j/g'-logo with 'National Dist. Jamie/Guyden Dist. Group' below it.
On the one with black writing, the song is about 12seconds longer (fade out later)!
