Scarlett Fakhar, a news anchor for Fox affiliate KRIV-TV, (pictured left and right) has come under fire after posting a controversial post (inset) on Facebook voicing her support for president-elect Donald Trump. The 25-year-old from Texas shared the post a day after Tuesday's election in which she also criticized the Obama administration. Fakhar wrote about how she had prayed 'for the best leader to turn this country that has become violent and racist under the Obama administration than ever... into the America I once knew.' She has since apologized for 'making public my personal views on the outcome of the election and other issues.'

An anti-Donald Trump protester has been shot (top) during a demonstration early Saturday morning in Portland, Oregon, police have said. The man was taken to the hospital after the shooting and the gunman is still on the loose. 'In the early morning hours of Saturday November 12, 2016, a man was injured in a shooting on the Morrison Bridge during a protest march. Preliminary information indicates that a suspect was in a vehicle on the bridge and there was a confrontation with someone in the protest. The suspect got out of the vehicle and fired multiple shots injuring the victim,' Portland Police said in a statement. The shooting took place on the Morrison Bridge in Portland around 1am on Saturday. A protester told KATU he saw four men get out of a car who looked 'menacing' and one of them had a gun. The group then got back in the car and after a short period of time, the man with the gun came back out of the car and fired 'five or six' warning shots and the victim was struck in the leg. Police are investigating the beating and who made the 'politically divisive' statements in the video and no arrests have been made.

A hooded merganser duck in Fullerton, California looked like an odd hybrid animal as it grappled with a crimson crayfish in its beak. A set of stunning images show the bird, which has an extravagant white crested hood and intense yellow eyes, shaking the large crayfish around in his beak to de-claw it. After shaking away the crustacean's claws for about five minutes, the small duck finally manages to eat his snack by engulfing the crayfish all in one go.
