Ann Flower, 75, (left) and Margaret Baker, 71, (right) from Birmingham, who cleared 25 bags of leaves from outside their homes have been left outraged after being threatened with a fine for flytipping. It had become so treacherous Ms Baker tripped over and suffered a broken hand, fractured wrist and thumb. They claim to have told the council about the problem on numerous occasions but have not been provided with sacks to clear the leaves. They were told the overflowing bin bags were 'illegal garden waste' and even threatened with a fine.

Police have announced the final three names of the passengers killed in the Croydon tram crash. Donald Collett, 62, of Croydon (pictured left); Philip Logan, 52, (right) and Robert Huxley, 63, both of New Addington, died after the tram overturned. Mr Collett’s family paid tribute to him and said he could 'light up a room with his smile'. Mr Logan's loved ones said he was a 'true family man' who had a ‘magnificently dry sense of humor’. Work to repair the tram lines continued today (inset). Six men and one woman died and more than 50 people were injured when the carriages flipped on Wednesday morning.

Marcus Elliot, 26, fleeced victims out of £250,000 and spent the money on a lavish lifestyle, enjoying luxury meals, buying expensive speedboats, cigars and a Playboy membership. He leased shipping containers and said he would pay a fixed monthly fee and rent them on to the public. However he sold the containers on eBay and pocketed the money instead. In another ruse, he also sold people containers that simply did not exist. When he stopped paying his monthly bill to one firm, they investigated and found he had fled to South America.

Becky Watts' killer Shauna Hoare has reportedly been so badly beaten in prison she has had to be resuscitated twice. Hoare, 22, is currently serving 17 years for manslaughter in the all female Bronzefield prison, in Surrey. Her boyfriend, Nathan Matthews, 28, was imprisoned for a minimum of 33 years for murdering his 16-year-old stepsister. A close friend said she had become a target for other prisoners at the Category A jail, which is the largest female prison in Europe.

Police have arrested 13 fans as violence erupted in the stands at Wembley following England's 3-0 win against Scotland. One man has been charged with common assault, while three other men are currently in police custody on the same charge. Another was arrested for affray while two have been cautioned for possession of a class A drug, one of which was a 16-year-old boy. Another was given a penalty notice for possessing a flare. It comes after pictures from inside the stadium showed men swinging punches at each other while they are held back by fellow supporters. One man was left bloodied and had to receive medical assistance from the police and security inside the stadium (pictured top left and bottom left). Metropolitan Police told the MailOnline that the 13 arrests were made before, during and after the game.

A prisoner serving a life sentence for murder has been using an illegal mobile phone to post topless selfies on Facebook from his prison cell. Killer Jack Cramb, created the account under the name Maximus Payet and it is believed he has been posting the flirty pictures since 2013. Cramb is serving a minimum of 16 years for the brutal street attack of Barry Bradley in Alva, Clackmannanshire in July 2010. The 19-year-old was the grandson of the notorious Big Mags Haney who was jailed for 12 years in 2003 for ruling a large scale heroin dealing with four other family members.

Young donkeys are bred (1) and slaughtered (2) for the DEEJ ejiao factory (3 and 4) in Dong'e, China. Ejiao is a supposedly youth-preserving gelatin found in their skin. Four million donkeys are killed each year to meet demand for the 'miracle' serum which goes into health snacks, powders and face creams. There is no medical evidence to support the belief in its effectiveness.
