2nd Battalion, 16th Infantry from 1st Infantry Division in Ghazni Province travels through one of the most dangerous areas in Afghanistan because of information about 2 HBED's in the area and to disrupt enemy moment. During the patrol the Soldiers took small arms fire from all sides. Late in the day Capt. James Nehl was hit by an enemy sniper, the wound resulted in his death.

Welcome to the United States Marine Corps School of Infantry.
The School of Infantry (SOI) is the second stage of initial military training for enlisted United States Marines after Recruit Training. Since the initial training pipeline is divided between coasts, Marines from areas east of the Mississippi River usually graduate from MCRD Parris Island and move on to SOI at SOI East (located at Camp Geiger, a satellite facility of Camp Lejeune in North Carolina), while those from the western half of the nation attend MCRD San Diego and move on to SOI West at the Camp San Onofre area of Camp Pendleton in California. Female Marines are an exception, all of whom go through MCRD Parris Island and SOI East.
The School of Infantry's training mission ensures "Every Marine is, first and foremost, a Rifleman". At SOI, Marines with the Military Occupational Specialty of infantry (0300 occupational field) are trained at the Infantry Training Battalion (ITB), while all non-infantry Marines are trained in basic infantry and combat skills at the Marine Combat Training Battalion (MCT Bn). SOI marks a transition in the professional training of entry-level students from basically trained Marines to combat-ready Marines.

1944 - The 506th IR is tasked with clearing out a town infested with Nazi infantry.
First off, this is NOT IFA3. It's a modded version of Massi's WWII mod with just infantry assets: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=31044
As you will see in this video, the sounds in this mod are very unbalanced. Some are very quiet, and some are deafaningly loud. This is the reason I haven't done any WWII gameplay yet. I've been waiting for both this mod and IFA3 to work out their sound issues.
And yes I know the trucks are "wrong". There are NO vehicular assets in the mod and we didn't want to spend 2 hours on foot. Don't mention it.

I am no longer using any iteration of JSRS due to the problems it causes on servers. It was discovered in Feb 2015 that all versions of JSRS for the past 4 years have been causing massive amounts of errors on dedicated servers so it has stopped being used and I don't use another sound mod. This includes JSRS Lite.
Q: Can you upload that mission so I can play it?
A: Nearly all of the missions I play are dynamically created by someone controlling Zeus in ArmA. They are therefore not available for upload.
Q: No debrief?
A: When we debrief in game I leave it in. We very rarely debrief in game. Debriefs are rare, not the norm, and they never will be.
Q: Why don't you do X when you Zeus?
A: I Zeus by a very strict set of guidelines set forth by my ArmA unit to maximize the fun of the people in the mission for whom I am Zeusing. The goal is fun, not punishment. I don't need a hundred Monday morning quarterbacks telling me "what I should have done" or "how I would have done it" or "how this other person does it". All I need is for my guys to say they had fun at the end of the mission and I know I did it right.

Infantry
The infantry is the branch of a military force that fights on foot. As the troops who are intended to engage, fight, and defeat the enemy in face-to-face combat, they bear the brunt of warfare and typically suffer the greatest number of casualties. Historically, as the oldest branch of the combat arms, the infantry are the tip of the spear of a modern army, and continually undergo training that is more physically stressful and psychologically demanding than that of any other branch of the combat arms.
Infantry can enter and maneuver in terrain that is inaccessible to military vehicles and employ crew-served infantry weapons that provide greater and more sustained firepower. The transport and delivery techniques of modern infantrymen to engage in battle include marching, mechanised transport, airborne by parachute or by air assault from helicopter and amphibious landing from the sea.
History and etymology
In English, the 16th-century term Infantry (ca. 1570s) describes soldiers who walk to the battlefield, and there engage, fight, and defeat the enemy in direct combat, usually to take and occupy the terrain. As describing the branch of the combat arms, the term Infantry derives from the French Infanterie, which, in turn, is derived from the Italian Fanteria and ultimately from the Latin Infantera; the individual-soldier term Infantryman (1837) was not coined until the 19th century. Historically, before the invention and the introduction of firearms to warfare, the foot soldiers of previous eras—armed with blunt and edged weapons, and a shield—also are considered and identified as infantrymen.

It's a modded version of Massi's WWII mod with just infantry assets: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=31044 As you will see in this video, the sounds in this mod are very unbalanced. Female Marines are an exception, all of whom go through MCRD Parris Island and SOI East.
The School of Infantry's training mission ensures "Every Marine is, first and foremost, a Rifleman". At SOI, Marines with the Military Occupational Specialty of infantry (0300 occupational field) are trained at the Infantry Training Battalion (ITB), while all non-infantry Marines are trained in basic infantry and combat skills at the Marine Combat Training Battalion (MCT Bn). SOI marks a transition in the professional training of entry-level students from basically trained Marines to combat-ready Marines.

First off, this is NOT IFA3. It's a modded version of Massi's WWII mod with just infantry assets: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=31044
As you will see in this video, the sounds in this mod are very unbalanced. Some are very quiet, and some are deafaningly loud. This is the reason I haven't done any WWII gameplay yet. I've been waiting for both this mod and IFA3 to work out their sound issues.
And yes I know the trucks are "wrong". There are NO vehicular assets in the mod and we didn't want to spend 2 hours on foot. Don't mention it.

For SF missions: VSM Gear, Enhanced Movement Mod, MOCAP Melee mod, MCC, SMA Weapons, Robert Hammer Pistols, and a variety of ArmA community maps.
I am no longer using any iteration of JSRS due to the problems it causes on servers. It was discovered in Feb 2015 that all versions of JSRS for the past 4 years have been causing massive amounts of errors on dedicated servers so it has stopped being used and I don't use another sound mod. This includes JSRS Lite.
Q: Can you upload that mission so I can play it?
A: Nearly all of the missions I play are dynamically created by someone controlling Zeus in ArmA. They are therefore not available for upload.
Q: No debrief?
A: When we debrief in game I leave it in. We very rarely debrief in game. Debriefs are rare, not the norm, and they never will be.
Q: Why don't you do X when you Zeus?
A: I Zeus by a very strict set of guidelines set forth by my ArmA unit to maximize the fun of the people in the mission for whom I am Zeusing. The goal is fun, not punishment. I don't need a hundred Monday morning quarterbacks telling me "what I should have done" or "how I would have done it" or "how this other person does it". All I need is for my guys to say they had fun at the end of the mission and I know I did it right.
