Show No Mercy may refer to:
Show No Mercy is a single taken from the 1990 album Mark Williams ZNZ by Mark Williams. It reached #8 on the Australian ARIA charts, #9 in New Zealand, and achieved an ARIA platinum certification in Australia. "Show No Mercy" was ranked as the 25th highest-selling single of 1990 in Australia.
Show No Mercy is the debut album by the American heavy metal band Bride. It was the band's debut on the label Pure Metal Records. Less commercial than Bride's later works, the album received a mixed reception in its time, as it was somewhat more extreme and darker than many Christian releases coming out at the time and did not sell particularly well.
The band line-up for this album was:
Dale Thompson: vocals Steve Osborne: lead guitar Troy Thompson: guitar, keyboards, violin Scott Hall: bass Stephan Rolland: drums
After recording four demo tapes over the next three years, the brothers Dale and Troy Thompson got their change when promoter Dorn Repport arranged for Matrix to open for Daniel Band in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Thompsons were joined by guitarist Billy Sutherland and drummer Steve Gilbert to perform for a crowd of 1000. Amongs this crowd were executives from the Refuge Music Group. The band caught the label's attention when the band sold out of all the tapes it brought to the show. This led to the label contacting Matrix. Six months later the band changed its name to Bride and were signed a contract with Pure Metal Records, the Refuge Records' imprint that focused on Christian metal. Pure Metal Records was exclusively set up for Bride.
Hello my friend, listen to me
I've got a woman and you know her very well
You must help me, yes you will call
Put on a strange voice and tell her I'm dead
There's no risk my friend
Cause I'll come back soon to her
I will be gone two weeks and you must bring the news
To a secret place where we meet
Watch what is happening, visit her at home
Say that you're looking for me, be careful!
There's no risk my friend
Cause I'll come back soon to her
Nice to see you my dear
With innocence in my face
Knocking on her door
Forever closer than before
So it will be
And so the woman is in despair
Goes to the police, they cannot help
For her the only possibility: tablets
And be free suicide
There's no risk my friend
Cause I'll come back soon to her
Nice to see you my dear
Madness and pain races my fear
Standing at the coffin side
Can't look your parents in the eyes
Nice to see you my dear
I remember the day when I found you there
The suicide letter is a secret in time
