Nanuet is a hamlet and census-designated place in the town of Clarkstown, Rockland County, New York, United States. It is located north of Pearl River, south of New City, east of Spring Valley, and west of West Nyack. It is located midway between Manhattan and Bear Mountain, 19 miles (31 km) north and south of each respectively; and 2 miles (3 km) north of the New Jersey border. It has one of three Rockland County stations on New Jersey Transit's Pascack Valley Line. The population of Nanuet was 17,882 at the 2010 census.
The opening of the New York State Thruway (Interstate 87/287), the Tappan Zee Bridge, and the Palisades Interstate Parkway in the 1950s helped usher in decades of population growth and real estate development, including the construction of the Nanuet Mall and local shopping centers.
In 2011, CNN Money ranked Nanuet 76 on its annual 100 Best Places to Live list, citing its relatively inexpensive housing and the recreation and shopping opportunities in the area. Nanuet was also ranked 24th on CNN Money's annual 100 Best Places to Live list in 2007.
New City may refer to:
A high school (also secondary school, senior school, secondary college) is a school that provides adolescents with part or all of their secondary education. It may come after primary school or middle school and be followed by higher education or vocational training.
The term "high school" originated in Scotland, with the world's oldest high school being Edinburgh's Royal High School from 1505. The Royal High School was used as a model for the first public high school in the United States, Boston Latin School founded in Boston, Massachusetts.
The precise stage of schooling provided by a high school differs from country to country, and may vary within the same jurisdiction. In all of New Zealand and Malaysia, along with most of Britain and parts of Australia, Bangladesh and Canada, high school means the same thing as secondary school, but instead of starting in 9th grade, these "secondary schools" begin at ages 11 or 12.
In Australia, high school is a secondary school, from Year 7 or Year 8 through to Year 12, varying from state to state. High school immediately follows primary (elementary) school; therefore, a Year-7 Australian high-school student is sometimes as young as 12. In Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory, the term "high school" generally refers to Years 7–10, whereas the term "College" is used for Years 11–12. In Victoria the term "secondary college" has largely replaced the term "high school" following the reforms of the Labor Government in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Some schools have retained the name "high school" (such as Melbourne High School) and many have now dropped the "secondary" and are simply known as "college".
Nanuet Senior High School is a public high school located in Nanuet, New York. It is formally known as "Nanuet Senior High School: The John P. Burke Building," named after the school's long-time principal. The Nanuet Senior High School houses grades 9 - 12. Its leadership team consists of a Principal and an Assistant Principal. In addition there are four guidance counselors, a Dean, a nurse, a student assistance counselor, a psychologist, a School Resource Officer, and department chairpersons.
Nanuet's comprehensive program offers courses in Art, English, French, Health, Math, Music, Physical Education, Science, Social Studies, Spanish and Technology. These can lead to Advanced Regents Diplomas, Regents Diplomas, Regents Diplomas with Honor, and Local Diplomas. Courses are offered at the Advanced Placement, Honors, Regents, and Standard Level. There are Advanced Placement courses in English, Calculus, Biology, European History, US History, French, Spanish, Music Theory, and Studio Art which may lead to college credit. Students may also earn college credit for work in Macroeconomics as well as in Public Affairs.
The Shops at Nanuet (formerly the Nanuet Mall) is a Simon Malls-operated outdoor shopping mall located at the intersection of New York State Route 59 and Middletown Road in Nanuet, New York. Built on the site of the former Nanuet Mall, the Shops at Nanuet opened in 2013.
The original mall's original two anchor stores were Bamberger's (later became Macy's) and Sears. In 1994, it expanded to include Stern's which finally became Boscov's,before the latter closed in May 2008 in preparation for the mall's demolition (Simon Property Group owned the Boscov's space while Macy's and Sears owned their respective real estate).
The mall, which used to be wetlands, had grown to 900,000 square feet (84,000 m2) and encompassed 120 stores in 1999. The mall went into decline following the opening of the nearby Palisades Center in March 1998. Nearly all of the stores except for Macy's and Sears closed by early 2011, when Simon unveiled plans to rebuild the mall as The Shops at Nanuet, an outdoor mall featuring shops, restaurants, a fitness center, and a Regal Cinemas movie theater, which opened on November 7, 2013. By January 2012, all the stores in the mall had closed (except for Macy's and Sears), and demolition had begun. Construction started after the demolition and the new renovated Shops at Nanuet opened on October 10, 2013.

One, two, three, here comes the danger
Love's not free it's not a legend
I can't stand into the fire
I can't wait my burning love goes
Fightin' for the right to live my
Life the way I feel
Waiting for the weapon then I'll
Shoot him to the heart
Love Killer (oh oh oh love killer)
In my dreams I feel like a rambo that killed the
Love Killer (oh oh oh love killer)
And the world will scream to me louder so happy
It destroys the generations
It is like the radiation
To the core I'll put my finger
