Lima /ˈliːmə/ is the capital and the largest city of Peru. It is located in the valleys of the Chillón, Rímac and Lurín rivers, in the central coastal part of the country, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Together with the seaport of Callao, it forms a contiguous urban area known as the Lima Metropolitan Area. With a population of almost 10 million, Lima is the most populous metropolitan area of Peru, and the third largest city in the Americas (as defined by "city proper"), just behind São Paulo and Mexico City.
Lima was founded by Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro on January 18, 1535, as Ciudad de los Reyes. It became the capital and most important city in the Spanish Viceroyalty of Peru. Following the Peruvian War of Independence, it became the capital of the Republic of Peru. Today, around one-third of the Peruvian population lives in the metropolitan area.
Lima is home to one of the oldest higher learning institutions in the New World. The National University of San Marcos, founded on May 12 of 1551, during Spanish colonial regime, is the oldest continuously functioning university in the Americas.
Roger Waters concert in Lima, Peru. Monday, March 12. Estadio Monumental. Included a Sid Barrett tribute, all the Dark Side of the Moon album. High audio/video quality. Camera: Sony.
Screen video que Roger Waters pretendia usar en el tema "The final cut" en la gira "The dark side of the moon" (2006-2008).

This is my second Channel. It looks like we're crashing into the ocean. CJ woke me up to film the awesome cloud cover. He was an Apache pilot, so he knows about this stuff. He knew it would be an awesome descent so he had me timelapse it. We had just finished a week of manual labor so we were exhausted. Good travel with a good brother. A happy moment.

https://www.expedia.com/Lima.d178277.Destination-Travel-Guides Lima gives access to the mystical city of Machu Picchu in the Andes, Lake Titicaca in the highlands, the lush Amazon jungle and Peru’s coastal desert. But, before you go to see all of this, it’s worth exploring the capital first. Just like Peru’s landscapes, Lima is a city of contrasts: rich and poor, ancient and modern, practical and elegant, fascinating and entertaining. In Lima’s Historic Center is the Plaza de Armas, also known as the Plaza Mayor. This is where the Spanish explorer founded Lima and the Lima Cathedral, contains the tomb of Francisco Pizarro. Next door, the Government Palace is still the official seat of government today. Outside of the city center are many more visitor attractions. The Bajada de los Baños...
When I think back to my time in Lima, Peru I have many distinct memories. Peruvian cuisine, a mix of coastal, jungle and Andean delights, pleased my ever discerning taste-buds as a gallivanted around the city trying all kinds of different Peruvian foods. Being based in Miraflores meant that I had access to some of the best restaurants in all of Lima along with coastal views of the Pacific ocean and many green spaces to explore. Everything out of order
everything too well produced
from the conjuror's hat –
let's turn on the juice
to grind the cutting plane, the blade that gives an edge,
to scale the mountain; to fail upon the mountain ledge.
Half-way up is half-way peaking,
the stroboscope locks the lathe;
I look around for a switch in phase...
the disco boom stands firm, the eight-track's in, the rage
licks the present, quickly flips the future page.
Check the deck: no marked cards,
no sequentialled straight or flush...
the dice won't still the blood-line rush.
Run the star-flood night, the cut-throat blade is stropped;
race your shadow... race in case your shadow stops.
Everything so out of order
no bias on the playback head;
papers for the border –
all the tape is read,
the future burns my tongue, the noise-gates all are shut,
breathe the vacuum, believe there's reason in the cut.
Incipient white noise,
the stylus barely tracks,
