How do tigers hunt their prey is what everyone tend to ask themselves so here is a brief summary about it. As a carnivore meaning an animal that feeds on flesh diets almost everything of just meat alone. In very rare occasions you will see a tiger eat fruits, berries and grass usually to digest the food. A LEOPARD hangs limp in the mouth of a tigress after an almighty battle in India’s Sariska Tiger Reserve. The ultra-rare clash was caught on camera by a group of wildlife enthusiasts during an early morning safari at the tiger reserve in Alwar district of Rajasthan, India, on Tuesday. Jaipur resident Abhimanyu Singh Rajvi, along with his cousin Yashvardhan Shekhawat and Sariska District Forest Officer Mr Manoj Parashar, were trying to spot tigers when they heard a loud roar from behind. The trio saw a tigress known as ST-3 climb a tree where a leopard was taking shelter, before pushing the leopard out of the tree and then pouncing on its prey as it lay stricken below. The pair came rolling down a small hill, with the tigress emerging victorious - and then retreating into thick foliage to enjoy her kill.

A BRAZILIAN family have taken the trend for exotic pets to new extremes. Not content with the standard pooch or moggy, the Borges brood have been sharing their home with a pack of SEVEN tigers. Aryas Borges, began his love affair with tigers when he found two of the big cats living in a bad state at a circus -- and decided to bring them home. His daughters Nayara, 20, Uyara, 23, and Deusanira, 24, grew up sharing their meals, beds and playtime with the fully-grown predators and walking them on a leash. And Nayara, a real-life female Tarzan, regularly hops into the family swimming pool to take a dip with her furry friends. After his success with the rescue tigers, Ary started breeding them, and the tigers still have the run of the house at the Borges family home in Maringa. The family have forged an incredible bond with the tigers after living under the same roof for so long.

Tiger
The tiger (Panthera tigris) is the largest cat species, reaching a total body length of up to 3.38 m (11.1 ft) over curves and exceptionally weighing up to 388.7 kg (857 lb) in the wild. Its most recognisable feature is a pattern of dark vertical stripes on reddish-orange fur with a lighter underside. The species is classified in the genus Panthera with the lion, leopard, jaguar and snow leopard. Tigers are apex predators, primarily preying on ungulates such as deer and bovids. They are territorial and generally solitary but social animals, often requiring large contiguous areas of habitat that support their prey requirements. This, coupled with the fact that they are indigenous to some of the more densely populated places on Earth, has caused significant conflicts with humans.
Tigers once ranged widely across Asia, from Turkey in the west to the eastern coast of Russia. Over the past 100 years, they have lost 93% of their historic range, and have been extirpated from southwest and central Asia, from the islands of Java and Bali, and from large areas of Southeast and Eastern Asia. Today, they range from the Siberian taiga to open grasslands and tropical mangrove swamps. The remaining six tiger subspecies have been classified as endangered by IUCN. The global population in the wild is estimated to number between 3,062 and 3,948 individuals, down from around 100,000 at the start of the 20th century, with most remaining populations occurring in small pockets isolated from each other, of which about 2,000 exist on the Indian subcontinent. Major reasons for population decline include habitat destruction, habitat fragmentation and poaching. The extent of area occupied by tigers is estimated at less than 1,184,911 km2 (457,497 sq mi), a 41% decline from the area estimated in the mid-1990s.

David Attenborough
Sir David Frederick Attenborough /ˈætənbʌrə/ OM CH CVO CBE FRS FLS FZS FSA Kt (born 8 May 1926) is an English broadcaster and naturalist.
He is best known for writing and presenting the nine Life series, in conjunction with the BBC Natural History Unit, which collectively form a comprehensive survey of animal and plant life on the planet. He is also a former senior manager at the BBC, having served as controller of BBC Two and director of programming for BBC Television in the 1960s and 1970s. He is the only person to have won BAFTAs for programmes in each of black and white, colour, HD, and 3D.
Attenborough is widely considered a national treasure in Britain, although he himself does not like the term. In 2002 he was named among the 100 Greatest Britons following a UK-wide vote. He is the younger brother of director, producer and actor Richard Attenborough.
Early life and family
Attenborough was born in Isleworth, West London, but grew up in College House on the campus of the University College, Leicester, where his father, Frederick, was principal. He is the middle of three sons (his elder brother, Richard, became an actor and director and his younger brother, John, an executive at Italian car manufacturer Alfa Romeo). The ultra-rare clash was caught on camera by a group of wildlife enthusiasts during an early morning safari at the tiger reserve in Alwar district of Rajasthan, India, on Tuesday. Jaipur resident Abhimanyu Singh Rajvi, along with his cousin Yashvardhan Shekhawat and Sariska District Forest Officer Mr Manoj Parashar, were trying to spot tigers when they heard a loud roar from behind. The trio saw a tigress known as ST-3 climb a tree where a leopard was taking shelter, before pushing the leopard out of the tree and then pouncing on its prey as it lay stricken below. The pair came rolling down a small hill, with the tigress emerging victorious - and then retreating into thick foliage to enjoy her kill. And Nayara, a real-life female Tarzan, regularly hops into the family swimming pool to take a dip with her furry friends. After his success with the rescue tigers, Ary started breeding them, and the tigers still have the run of the house at the Borges family home in Maringa. A LEOPARD hangs limp in the mouth of a tigress after an almighty battle in India’s Sariska Tiger Reserve. The ultra-rare clash was caught on camera by a group of wildlife enthusiasts during an early morning safari at the tiger reserve in Alwar district of Rajasthan, India, on Tuesday. Jaipur resident Abhimanyu Singh Rajvi, along with his cousin Yashvardhan Shekhawat and Sariska District Forest Officer Mr Manoj Parashar, were trying to spot tigers when they heard a loud roar from behind. The trio saw a tigress known as ST-3 climb a tree where a leopard was taking shelter, before pushing the leopard out of the tree and then pouncing on its prey as it lay stricken below. The pair came rolling down a small hill, with the tigress emerging victorious - and then retreating into thick foliage to enjoy her kill.

A BRAZILIAN family have taken the trend for exotic pets to new extremes. Not content with the standard pooch or moggy, the Borges brood have been sharing their home with a pack of SEVEN tigers. Aryas Borges, began his love affair with tigers when he found two of the big cats living in a bad state at a circus -- and decided to bring them home. His daughters Nayara, 20, Uyara, 23, and Deusanira, 24, grew up sharing their meals, beds and playtime with the fully-grown predators and walking them on a leash. And Nayara, a real-life female Tarzan, regularly hops into the family swimming pool to take a dip with her furry friends. After his success with the rescue tigers, Ary started breeding them, and the tigers still have the run of the house at the Borges family home in Maringa. The family have forged an incredible bond with the tigers after living under the same roof for so long.
