An hour at Rugby and half hour at Nuneaton station on a misty March morning, Friday 11th 2016!
Managed to catch a Gatwick Express 387 passing through Nuneaton, the set was on a test run between Wembley & Crewe. Total luck that I caught it, was running half hour ahead of scheduled and I didn't even know it was due until it flew past at 100mph!
I've included on screen information of what service the trains were operating.
INCLUDES: Virgin Pendolino's & Voyager's, London Midland 350's & 153, DB (EWS) 66's, Freightliner 66 and the GatEx 387!
Not filmed at either station for quite some time so was nice to go back.

Nuneaton (/nəˈniːtən/) is the largest town in the Borough of Nuneaton and Bedworth and in the English county of Warwickshire.
Nuneaton is most famous for its associations with the 19th century author George Eliot, who was born on a farm on the Arbury Estate just outside Nuneaton in 1819 and lived in the town for much of her early life. In her novel Scenes of Clerical Life (1858), "Milby" is the thinly disguised market town of Nuneaton.
The Nuneaton Urban Area is a conurbation based around Nuneaton and several surrounding towns and villages.
The town is located 9 miles (14 km) north of Coventry, 20 miles (32 km) east of Birmingham and 103 miles (166 km) northwest of London. The River Anker runs through the town. Nuneaton (as defined by the Office for National Statistics) had a population of 70,721 according to the 2001 census, though the 2008 estimate is closer to 73,000 inhabitants. However, both of these figures exclude the Camp Hill area of the town, which is deemed to be in the Hartshill subdivision of the Nuneaton urban area by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), as can be seen from the map included in its report on Key Statistics for urban areas and the dataset of this report, which cites a population of 12,207 for the Hartshill subdivision [1] (by comparison, the population of the civil parish of Hartshill in 2001 was just 3,611 [2]). A more representative figure is given by the combined population of Nuneaton's 11 wards, which was 78,403 in 2001 according to the ONS (see table below).

Leaving Northampton at 10.16 am we travel to Coventry where we stay for 2 hours. Boarding a single unit we travel to Nuneaton for 3 hours for plenty of variety and gossiping with friends. Experimenting with the video camera off the tripod and holding it tight into my chest. Bit shaky at first but I think you will agree it gets better as we proceed. Wales's Fish & Chip shop - Nuneaton
A tribute to the very best fish and chip shop in Nuneaton - Wales's. Good old fashioned hospitality, great food and an interior almost straight out of the 1960s. Established in 1966, Wales remains a firm favourite with the locals and ex-pat Nuneatonians with 'made on the premises' crinkle cut chips and rightly so. None of your frozen chips here! Great place to take a family for lunch without completely breaking the bank. The counter downstairs is awesome - original 60s, and you're made so welcome. Lets hope it never changes. If only the co-op in Nuneaton had realised that old fashioned decor is often better than modern interiors. They ruined theirs. A tribute to the very best fish and chip shop in Nuneaton - Wales's. Good old fashioned hospitality, great food and an interior almost straight out of the 1960s.
Established in 1966, Wales remains a firm favourite with the locals and ex-pat Nuneatonians with 'made on the premises' crinkle cut chips and rightly so. None of your frozen chips here! Great place to take a family for lunch without completely breaking the bank. The counter downstairs is awesome - original 60s, and you're made so welcome. Lets hope it never changes.
If only the co-op in Nuneaton had realised that old fashioned decor is often better than modern interiors. They ruined theirs.
