Robert Culp
Robert Martin Culp (August 16, 1930 – March 24, 2010) was an American actor, screenwriter, voice actor and director, widely known for his work in television. Culp earned an international reputation for his role as Kelly Robinson on I Spy (1965–1968), the espionage series in which he and co-star Bill Cosby played a pair of secret agents. Prior to that, he starred in the CBS/Four Star western series, Trackdown as Texas Ranger Hoby Gilman from 1957-1959.
The 1980s brought him back to television. He starred as FBI Agent Bill Maxwell on The Greatest American Hero and also had a recurring role as Warren Whelan on Everybody Loves Raymond. In all, Culp gave hundreds of performances in a career spanning more than 50 years.
Early life
Culp was born on August 16, 1930 in Oakland, California, to Crozier Cordell Culp, an attorney, and his wife, Bethel Martin (née Collins) Culp. He graduated from Berkeley High School, where he was a pole vaulter and took second place at the 1947 CIF California State Meet.

Brian Keith
Brian Keith (November 14, 1921 – June 24, 1997) was an American film, television, and stage actor who in his six-decade-long career gained recognition for his work in movies such as the 1961 Disney family film The Parent Trap, the 1966 comedy The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming, and the 1975 adventure saga The Wind and the Lion, in which he portrayed President Theodore Roosevelt.
On television, two of his best-known roles were that of bachelor-uncle-turned-reluctant-parent Bill Davis in the 1960s sitcom Family Affair, and a tough judge in the 1980s drama Hardcastle and McCormick. He also starred in the The Brian Keith Show, which aired on NBC from 1972 to 1974, where he portrayed a pediatrician who operated a free clinic on Oahu, as well as in the CBS comedy series Heartland.
Early life
Keith was born Robert Alba Keith in Bayonne, New Jersey, on November 14, 1921, to actor Robert Keith and stage actress Helena Shipman, a native of Aberdeen, Washington. Some sources also list his full name as Brian Robert Keith. He was raised Roman Catholic. His parents divorced, and he moved to Hollywood and started his acting career at the age of two. He made his acting debut in the silent film Pied Piper Malone (1924) at the age of three. His mother continued to perform on stage and radio, while Robert's grandmother Apker helped to raise him on Long Island, New York, just 37 miles east of where he was born. She taught young Brian to read books over his age level. Prior to learning to read, he spent a lot of time backstage while his parents performed, being quiet for hours. Helena fondly recalled keeping little Brian in the dressing room in one of her dressing room drawers. He remained calm and was quiet and would sleep through the entire show. From 1927 through 1929, Keith's stepmother was Peg Entwistle, a well-known Broadway actress who committed suicide by jumping from the "H" of the famous Hollywood Sign in 1932.

Brian Keith (judge)
Sir Brian Richard Keith QC (born 14 April 1944) is a former British judge of the High Court of England and Wales styled as The Honourable Mr Justice Keith. He was previously a judge of the Court of Appeal of Hong Kong.
Education and early career
Keith is the son of Alan Keith, the broadcaster best known for devising and presenting the long-running programme Your Hundred Best Tunes on BBC's Radio 2. He was educated at University College School, Hampstead, and read law at Lincoln College, Oxford. From 1966 to 1967 he was a J.F.Kennedy fellow at Harvard Law School. He was called to the bar at Inner Temple in 1968 and elected a bencher in 1996. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1988 and appointed a Queen's Counsel in 1989. He practised in employment and administrative law from the chambers of Lord Irvine of Lairg QC, where a fellow member was Tony Blair.
Judicial career in Hong Kong
In 1991, Keith became a judge of the High Court of Hong Kong (which was renamed the Court of First Instance when Hong Kong's Supreme Court was renamed the High Court in 1997). In 1996 he became the first judge in charge of the High Court's new Constitutional and Administrative Law List in preparation for the resumption of sovereignty over Hong Kong by China in 1997. He was promoted to the Hong Kong Court of Appeal in 1999, serving until 2001. He was appointed a Recorder in 1993.

After his role on Family Affair came to an end, Brian never quite regained the immense success that he had seen on that sitcom. He performed in several other film and television roles throughout the remainder of the 1970s before finally deciding to work more sporadically in the period spanning from 1980 until his death in 1997.
Brian was married three times over the course of his life, and had seven children. Four of these children were biological, while three were adopted. Of the four biological children, two met with tragic fates well before their time.
The first of Brian’s biological children to meet a tragic fate was Michael, who died of pneumonia at an early age. The second was Daisy, who committed suicide. Around the time of Daisy’s suicide, Brian was going through several other life events, including financial troubles and two serious illnesses. With all of this pressure weighing down on the actor, he decided that it was time to do something drastic. The Civil War Yankee sergeant Yellowleg saves the cheater Turkey from hanging after a card game, and together with Turk's gunslinger buddy Billy Keplinger, they ride together to Gila City with the intention of heisting a bank. When other bandits rob a store, Yellowleg shoots at the outlaws and accidentally kills the son of the cabaret dancer Kit Tilden and the grieving woman decides to bury her son in the town of Siringo in Apache country where her husband is buried. Yellowleg Enlists Billy and Turkey to escort Kitty and the coffin through the dangerous land.

The film stars Brian Keith (who had worked with Peckinpah on The Westerner television series) as "Yellowleg", a gunman who escorts a dancehall girl (O'Hara) across the desert in order to bury her recently deceased son alongside the boy's father. Their journey is complicated by unfriendly Indians as well as Yellowleg's treacherous partners (played by Chill Wills and Steve Cochran). This movie has an excellent cast, beautiful scenery and a good story. Although Sam Peckinpah declared himself dissatisfied, "L'office des communications sociales du Canada" gave this movie a (3) rate, which means "very good". That's perfectly just. Unfortunately, it's not disponible on video. But sometimes it's diffused on TV. Just last night, the CFCF channel showed this film and so I taped it. So if ever you see this movie, don't miss it." It also shows his gentle, lyrical side in a serious context, which is an important counterweight to the brutality he's famous for. Robert Culp
Robert Martin Culp (August 16, 1930 – March 24, 2010) was an American actor, screenwriter, voice actor and director, widely known for his work in television. Culp earned an international reputation for his role as Kelly Robinson on I Spy (1965–1968), the espionage series in which he and co-star Bill Cosby played a pair of secret agents. Prior to that, he starred in the CBS/Four Star western series, Trackdown as Texas Ranger Hoby Gilman from 1957-1959.
The 1980s brought him back to television. He starred as FBI Agent Bill Maxwell on The Greatest American Hero and also had a recurring role as Warren Whelan on Everybody Loves Raymond. In all, Culp gave hundreds of performances in a career spanning more than 50 years.
Early life
Culp was born on August 16, 1930 in Oakland, California, to Crozier Cordell Culp, an attorney, and his wife, Bethel Martin (née Collins) Culp. He graduated from Berkeley High School, where he was a pole vaulter and took second place at the 1947 CIF California State Meet.

Brian Keith was a television actor best known for his portrayal as Uncle Bill on the hit 1960s sitcom Family Affair. That show saw the actor cast as a wealthy engineer raising his brother’s orphaned children in a luxurious New York City apartment. The show became a massive success with audiences, running for five seasons and generating 138 episodes from 1966 to 1971. Although Brian had already had a breakout role in 1961’s hit Disney comedy The Parent Trap, his role as Uncle Bill proved to be the one that solidified the actor as an icon of his generation.

After his role on Family Affair came to an end, Brian never quite regained the immense success that he had seen on that sitcom. He performed in several other film and television roles throughout the remainder of the 1970s before finally deciding to work more sporadically in the period spanning from 1980 until his death in 1997.
Brian was married three times over the course of his life, and had seven children. Four of these children were biological, while three were adopted. Of the four biological children, two met with tragic fates well before their time.
The first of Brian’s biological children to meet a tragic fate was Michael, who died of pneumonia at an early age. The second was Daisy, who committed suicide. Around the time of Daisy’s suicide, Brian was going through several other life events, including financial troubles and two serious illnesses. With all of this pressure weighing down on the actor, he decided that it was time to do something drastic. The Civil War Yankee sergeant Yellowleg saves the cheater Turkey from hanging after a card game, and together with Turk's gunslinger buddy Billy Keplinger, they ride together to Gila City with the intention of heisting a bank. When other bandits rob a store, Yellowleg shoots at the outlaws and accidentally kills the son of the cabaret dancer Kit Tilden and the grieving woman decides to bury her son in the town of Siringo in Apache country where her husband is buried. Yellowleg Enlists Billy and Turkey to escort Kitty and the coffin through the dangerous land.

"Peckinpah's first feature film is an understated, yet solid, Western. The film stars Brian Keith (who had worked with Peckinpah on The Westerner television series) as "Yellowleg", a gunman who escorts a dancehall girl (O'Hara) across the desert in order to bury her recently deceased son alongside the boy's father. Their journey is complicated by unfriendly Indians as well as Yellowleg's treacherous partners (played by Chill Wills and Steve Cochran). This movie has an excellent cast, beautiful scenery and a good story. Although Sam Peckinpah declared himself dissatisfied, "L'office des communications sociales du Canada" gave this movie a (3) rate, which means "very good". That's perfectly just. Unfortunately, it's not disponible on video. But sometimes it's diffused on TV. Just last night, the CFCF channel showed this film and so I taped it. So if ever you see this movie, don't miss it." "It's time this movie took its rightful place in Peckinpah's career. Some discussions of the director don't even mention it, and I suspect that's partly because of its relative unavailability. At least it needs to be seen before making generalizations about his treatment of women, as O'Hara's character is his only strong dramatic female character (echoed later by Stella Stevens' good-time gal in the whimsical Ballad of Cable Hogue). It also shows his gentle, lyrical side in a serious context, which is an important counterweight to the brutality he's famous for.
