Chesney Henry "Chet" Baker, Jr. (December 23, 1929 – May 13, 1988) was an American jazz trumpeter, flugelhornist and vocalist.
Baker earned much attention and critical praise through the 1950s, particularly for albums featuring his vocals (Chet Baker Sings, It Could Happen to You). Jazz historian David Gelly described the promise of Baker's early career as "James Dean, Sinatra, and Bix, rolled into one." His well-publicized drug habit also drove his notoriety and fame; Baker was in and out of jail frequently before enjoying a career resurgence in the late 1970s and '80s.
Baker was born and raised in a musical household in Yale, Oklahoma; his father, Chesney Baker, Sr., was a professional guitar player, and his mother, Vera (née Moser) was a talented pianist who worked in a perfume factory. His maternal grandmother, Randi Moser, was Norwegian. Baker began his musical career singing in a church choir. His father introduced him to brass instruments with a trombone, which was replaced with a trumpet when the trombone proved too large.

When the girls begin to die as well, Raja realizes something is amiss. Now everyone is in the same boat to figure out who the killer is before the Slaughter Massacre begins. Director A. Lawrence Dreyfuss weaves a tale of suspense like nothing you have seen before.

Amazing Jazz song Almost Blue by Chet Baker / Composed by Costello Lyrics : Almost blue Almost doing things we used to do There's a girl here and she's almost you Almost all the things that your eyes once promised I see in hers too Now your eyes are red from crying Almost blue Flirting with this disaster became me It named me as the fool who only aimed to be Almost blue It's almost touching it will almost do There's a part of me that's always true...always Not all good things come to an end now it is only a chosen few I've seen such an unhappy couple ALMOST Me/You/Blue

Chris Albertson on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 Says: This interview with Bill was taped in 1972, when he brought his trio to my weekly TV show, The Jazz Set. Bill and I first met at Riverside Records in 1960. Back then, he looked more like an accountant than a jazz musician, but times change and we try to keep up by adopting trendy looks that eventually become laughable. Here, our long hair is a dead giveaway and my outfit is cringe-inducing. For some reason, I am not smoking during this interview, but most of the shows (we did 26, I think) show me puffing away on that Tareyton with the smoke all but obscuring the face of my guest. Giving it up about 35 years ago was one the wisest decisions I ever made.
Herb Alpert's thoughts on legendary jazz trumpet player Chet Baker, excerpted from the NYU Steinhardt Jazz Interview Series on November 14, 2015 hosted by Dave Schroeder. Full interview can be viewed at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYvf_r0n4fk
From "Let's Get Lost," a neat movie. Chet Baker doesnt think its hilarious that Lee Morgan was shot by his lady.
Time after time
I tell myself that I'm so lucky
To be loving you
So lucky to be
The one you run to see
In the evening
When the day is through
I only know what I know
The passing years will show
You kept my love so young
So new
And time after time
You'll hear me say that I'm
So lucky to be loving you
I only know what I know
The passing years will show
You kept my love so young
So new
And time after time
You'll hear me say that i'm
So lucky to be loving you
