Sapienza, Italy. 47's contract for today is to kill a man named Silvio Caruso, a bioengineer with dubious mental health employed by the Ether Biotech Corporation to work on a DNA-specific virus that would change the assassination business forever, allowing perfectly executed clean hits without needing a capable trigger man. Naturally we object. What would 47 do if this virus replaced him, become a gardener?! The client, someone from inside the Ether company, wants this project to be shut down due to ethical concerns and as such the full mission objectives also include the destruction of the virus prototype as well as the assassination of Francesca De Santis, another ruthless scientist vying for a chance to replace Silvio Caruso and take over his project. Silvio Caruso's not much of a man, but he makes good mulch. Great level. From what I could tell from my first glance it seems like this level mixes the best aspects of several of the series' best missions, such as the Beldingford Manor from Contracts and A Vintage Year from Blood Money. There is also at least one direct reference to Beldingford Manor in overheard dialogue. Funny thing, when the two bodyguards hired to protect Silvio can't find him, they spend the rest of the mission wandering around the mansion looking for him. If the last 4 levels of the game end up being as good as or better than this level, the full release will get a solid 10/10 from me.
