Order 66, the event that crippled the Jedi order and largely eliminated them from the galaxy they swore to protect. A ploy by the Sith to eliminate all that could potentially appose them. While order 66 and the great Jedi purge killed the majority of the Jedi there were some who resisted and survived the initial attack. Some of the Jedi abandoned the order entirely and others would return to fight years later. Today we count down the Top 7 Jedi that survived order 66 and explain how they evaded the Sith lord Darth Vader and the clones they had once fought beside.

The lightsaber is a weapon used and admired by both the Jedi and Sith, both orders despite hating one another and their beliefs have both strangely adopted a weapon they care deeply for. But there was a time before lightsabers where Jedi and Sith were forced to use alternate weaponry to wage their galactic battles. In this video we explain the ancient Jedi swords as well as the Sith War Blades and what made these ancient weapons potentially even more powerful than a lightsaber.

Jedi
The Jedi /ˈdʒɛˌdaɪ/ are the main protagonists in the fictional Star Wars universe. They are an ancient monastic, spiritual, and academic meritocratic organization whose origins dates back to circa 25,000 BBY (Before Battle of Yavin; the destruction of the first Death Star). The Jedi Order mostly consists of polymaths: teachers, philosophers, scientists, physicians, diplomats and warriors, who value knowledge and wisdom above nationality. By serving others, the Jedi give of themselves through acts of charity, citizenship, volunteerism, and good deeds. Their traditional weapon is the lightsaber, a device which generates a blade-like controlled plasma flow. The organization has inspired a new religious movement, Jediism.
Overview
As depicted in the canon, the Jedi study, serve and utilize a mystical power called the Force, in order to help and protect those in need. The Jedi members, known as Jedi Knights, respect all life by defending and protecting those who cannot do it for themselves, striving for peaceful and non-combative solutions to any altercations they encounter and fighting only in self-defense and for the defense of those they protect. Like their counterparts, the Sith, their main weapon is the lightsaber. By training the mind and the body the Jedi seek to improve themselves by gaining unfettered access to the Force while also seeking to improve those individuals and groups they come in contact with.

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium welcomed four baby manatees from Florida this week, weighing in at more than 1,000 total pounds. That’s tiny by manatee standards. When the rescued animals are fully grown — and ideally, by then, released back into the wild — they’ll likely weigh a whopping 1,300 pounds each, according to a zoo news release ...
