Garden of sinners - Kara no Kyoukai - Shiki's Theme Compilation
I compiled about 6 or 7 different variations of shiki's theme from Garden of Sinners.
Only 1 transition sticks out like a sore thumb to me. I can't really fix it without scrapping the entire song all together. Though it could just be me who notices it. Anyways let me know if this is shit.
I've noticed youtube to mp3 seems to cut off a few mb of data so since I use dropbox nowadays I figured I'd link the song for you guys so you can have the highest audio quality I can give since I don't have the flac.

Today, under the scope, I take a look at Kara no Kyoukai: The Garden of Sinners, one of my favorite series that proves just how mature anime can be.

I use two rating scales for each review. First is the approval rating. A show will receive one of five approval ratings based on my recommendation. They are BEST OF THE BEST (for shows I find to be masterpieces), WATCH (for shows I find really really good and recommend to everybody), TRY (for shows I find good but not great and will only recommend to some people), PASS (for shows I did not particularly enjoy and would not personally recommend), and finally BURN (for the shows that are so awful they have a special place reserved in hell).
The other scoring system is a 1-5 rating scale that I essentially give out arbitrarily based on how good I think the show is. The two ratings are not exactly related, but will obviously be similar.
If you have any other questions, comments, or want to rage at me for my rating of a show, feel free to leave them in the comments section below. My goal for every review is to give my honest opinion regardless of whether that matches the majority or not.

Kara no Kyōkai
Kara no Kyōkai (空の境界, lit. Boundary of Emptiness), subtitled and alternatively titled as The Garden of Sinners, and also known as Rakkyo (らっきょ), is a Japanese light novel series, authored by Kinoko Nasu and illustrated by Takashi Takeuchi. Originally released as a series of chapters released independently online or at Comiket between October 1998 and August 1999, the chapters were later republished by Kodansha into two volumes in 2004, and again in three volumes between 2007 and 2008. Ufotable produced a series of seven anime films based on the series between 2007 and 2009, and also produced an original video animation episode in 2011. A final anime film was produced and released in 2013. A manga adaptation illustrated by Sphere Tenku started serialization in September 2010 in Seikaisha's online magazine Saizensen.
Plot
Setting and themes
Set in Japan predominantly during the late 1990s, the series chronicles the life of Ryōgi clan heiress, Shiki Ryōgi, and her relationship with classmate Mikiya Kokutō. Both the light novel and the films are depicted in anachronical order with each chapter/film serving as part of one collective narrative. The series deals with the paranormal and tackles mature themes such as suicide, rape, patricide, incest and murder. Its lore and story draws inspiration from various religious philosophies and psychological concepts such as multiple personalities; the anima and animus; the nature of sin; life, death and reincarnation; and the paradoxical nature of the Taiji.

Garden of sinners - Kara no Kyoukai - Shiki's Theme Compilation I compiled about 6 or 7 different variations of shiki's theme from Garden of Sinners. Only 1 transition sticks out like a sore thumb to me. I can't really fix it without scrapping the entire song all together. Though it could just be me who notices it. Anyways let me know if this is shit. Today, under the scope, I take a look at Kara no Kyoukai: The Garden of Sinners, one of my favorite series that proves just how mature anime can be.

I use two rating scales for each review. First is the approval rating. A show will receive one of five approval ratings based on my recommendation. They are BEST OF THE BEST (for shows I find to be masterpieces), WATCH (for shows I find really really good and recommend to everybody), TRY (for shows I find good but not great and will only recommend to some people), PASS (for shows I did not particularly enjoy and would not personally recommend), and finally BURN (for the shows that are so awful they have a special place reserved in hell).
The other scoring system is a 1-5 rating scale that I essentially give out arbitrarily based on how good I think the show is. The two ratings are not exactly related, but will obviously be similar.
