Fox & Friends is a daily morning news/talk program that airs on Fox News Channel. The program - like most on Fox News - is considered to have conservative political leanings in its presentation.
It begins at 6:00 a.m. Eastern Time with the latest Fox News Live headlines and news of the morning and continues with a variety of segments including current events, interviews, updates of news stories with correspondents, right-leaning analysis from the hosts, and entertainment segments.
Fox & Friends evolved from Fox X-press, Fox News Channel's original morning news program.
After the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, an additional hour was added to the beginning of the weekday show, but branded as a separate show called Fox & Friends First. It was the first Fox News show to air live for the day, starting at 6:00 a.m. It was discontinued on July 13, 2008 and replaced with an additional hour of Fox & Friends The Fox & Friends First title was reintroduced on March 5, 2012, also as a separate show airing one hour before the main three-hour program, but using a separate slate of rotating anchors.
Brian (sometimes spelled Bryan) is a male given name of Irish and Breton origin, as well as a surname of Occitan origin. It is common in the English-speaking world. It is possible that the name is derived from an Old Celtic word meaning "high" or "noble". For example, the element bre means "hill"; which could be transferred to mean "eminence" or "exalted one". The name is quite popular in Ireland, on account of Brian Boru, a 10th-century king of Ireland. The name was also quite popular in East Anglia during the Middle Ages. This is because the name was introduced to England by Bretons following the Norman Conquest. Bretons also settled in Ireland along with the Normans in the 12th century, and 'their' name was mingled with the 'Irish' version. Also, in the north-west of England, the 'Irish' name was introduced by Scandinavian settlers from Ireland. Within the Gaelic speaking areas of Scotland, the name was at first only used by professional families of Irish origin. It was the fourth most popular male name in England and Wales in 1934, but a sharp decline followed over the remainder of the 20th century and by 1994 it had fallen out of the top 100. It retained its popularity in the United States for longer; its most popular period there was from 1968–1979 when it consistently ranked between eighth and tenth.
Fox News Channel (FNC), also known as Fox News, is an American basic cable and satellite news television channel that is owned by the Fox Entertainment Group subsidiary of 21st Century Fox. As of February 2015, approximately 94,700,000 American households (81.4% of cable, satellite & telco customers) receive the Fox News Channel. The channel broadcasts primarily from studios at 1211 Avenue of the Americas, New York City, New York. .
The channel was created by Australian-American media mogul Rupert Murdoch, who hired former Republican Party media consultant and NBC executive Roger Ailes as its founding CEO. It launched on October 7, 1996, to 17 million cable subscribers. It grew during the late 1990s and 2000s to become the dominant cable news network in the United States.
Fox News Channel has been accused of biased reporting and promoting the Republican Party. The channel has also been cited as detrimental to the integrity of news overall. Fox News Channel employees have responded that news reporting operates independently of its opinion and entertainment, and have denied bias in news reporting.
Saturday Night Live (abbreviated as SNL) is an American late-night live television sketch comedy and variety show created by Lorne Michaels and developed by Dick Ebersol. The show premiered on NBC on October 11, 1975, under the original title NBC's Saturday Night. The show's comedy sketches, which parody contemporary culture and politics, are performed by a large and varying cast of repertory and newer cast members. Each episode is hosted by a celebrity guest (who usually delivers an opening monologue and performs in sketches with the cast) and features performances by a musical guest. An episode normally begins with a cold open sketch that ends with someone breaking character and proclaiming, "Live from New York, it's Saturday Night!", properly beginning the show.
In 1980, Michaels left the series to explore other opportunities. He was replaced by Jean Doumanian, who was replaced by Ebersol after a season of bad reviews. Ebersol ran the show until 1985, when Michaels returned; Michaels has remained since then. Many of SNL's cast found national stardom while appearing on the show, and achieved success in film and television, both in front of and behind the camera. Others associated with the show, such as writers, have gone on to successful careers creating, writing, or starring in TV and film.

Brian Kilmeade is known as the dumbest man on television. They were discussing the Iowa caucuses and loose meat sandwiches when things went south. Cenk Uygur, host of the The Young Turks, breaks it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below. "Although Saturday Night Live took the weekend off, the weekday Fox & Friends anchors stepped up their game by hosting a weekend edition of the show on Sunday. During a segment called “Dooce On The Loose,” host Steve Doocy hit the streets outside the Fox News studios to find out how much New Yorkers knew about Iowa. “So, Brian, that’s where you’re going to be going later today,” Doocy explained to Kilmeade back in the studio. “And I just told him that he’s got to try the loose meat sandwich, which is an Iowa tradition. It’s like a slo...
9/20/13 - This morning on Fox & Friends, things got a tad awkward when the show brought up the Saturday Night Live parodies of the morning show. While new co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck simply wanted to know who would play her in the new season, Brian Kilmeade talked about why he dislikes the impression so much and then took jabs at members of the SNL cast. "Who will play me on Saturday Night Live?" asked Hasselbeck to begin the segment. Cut to video of former SNL cast-member telling Fox Entertainment that Kate McKinnon could do a good Hasselbeck. But then came the opportunity for the F&F; hosts to mock their mockers. "Bad news for Saturday Night Live," co-host Steve Doocy said with a chuckle, "Not only do they have to hire a new actress, they have to build a new set." (McKinnon is already ...

Eric Bolling & Brian Kilmeade clashed this morning on Fox & Friends when they argued about Edward Snowden and the reports that the NSA was spying on Euro allies. Bolling started the battle by saying that he was proud of what Snowden did by shining a light on the NSA activities. Kilmeade slammed Snowden for running away to Hong Kong and saying it took great courage to hide in an airport in Russia. Bolling then interrupted Alisyn to get the last word in. Kilmeade defended the NSA snooping because the activities are by definition clandestine.
Janeane Garofalo running circles around Brian Kilmeade on Fox & Friends, February 2003. What Janeane had to say afterward: "The only time I've ever lost my cool is on Fox and Friends -- this alleged morning news show on Fox. One of the first things one of the morning crew said to me was, "Boy, Saddam must love you." I'm not going to put up with that shit. I don't need to take that on a television program. You booked me, and you have a choice: You can either respect the guests you book, or book a guest you can respect. But I'm not going to come on there and have you make such an inflammatory statement. So I lost my cool. And then, of course, Fox News has run that clip ad nauseum as if it doesn't embarrass them." From February 2003, about a month before the Iraq War began and just after th...
