Produced by Alex Goose (Kevin Gates, Weezer), bi-coastal artist Rodes Rollins’ debut single “Young & Thriving” features somber, dark melodies and tells the tale of the fleeting nature of beauty and youth. The song conveys spaghetti western undertones with psychedelic flair with Stella Mozgawa of Warpaint playing drums.

Common Souls (comprised of guitarist/vocalist Ryan Yoo & keyboardist/drummer Nick Velez) dub their music “ESM”: Electronic Sad Music, and considering everything that’s happening around us in the US, this song seems a little bit appropriate.

“Roots//Habit” is emotional and stunning, and this work is indicative of their long career ahead. Citing James Blake, Kanye, Frank Ocean, and “weirder” artists including Gabriel Garón-Montano as major influences, Common Souls is ecstatic to release their debut EP, Pyramid Lake.

Dragonette has been gearing up for their album lately, and the tracks we’ve heard so far have been a beautiful blend of pop and electronic, making it the perfect piece to listen to as we get into the colder season.

To continue the momentum they’ve been building, the group has released their newest track, “Detonate,” with us exclusively today. The pop-influenced track brings energy and excitement to the dreary election Tuesday and is the perfect piece to kickstart the week.

Ah, yes….always an exciting moment when Razor-N-Tape promo’s land in your inbox! This latest from MFR Collective, an anonymous, super duo of legendary producers comes correct with some lovely business and we instantly jumped at the A-side, “Your Love Is Saved.” Rock-steady rhythms and percussion riffs greet you at the onset, joined shortly by a groove laden bass line and dub flourishes. Over the next seven minute, a gospel tinged, dance floor work out unfolds punctuated with drum breaks and organ solos.

Cop it here.

Brooklyn based singer King Deco shares free-spirited California based duo Instant Karma’s remix of her single “Read My Lips,” which has clocked almost half a million streams on Spotify and Soundcloud.

Instant Karma says about the remix: “We wanted to add a more dance-y/pulsing element to enhance the movement of the lyric and create a different feel, making it totally unique from the original but using a lot of her vocal elements as their own instruments within the drop.”

Listen to Instant Karma’s remix of “Read My Lips” and the original.

KYFRA‘s “Wait For You” has an old-school progressive house feel to it and I can’t get enough. The kid’s got a great knack for putting together catchy melodies and his production quality is startlingly impressive, considering he’s a mere teen. When asked about “Wait For You,” KYFRA said, “I’ve been sitting on this track for about a year now, but it wasn’t until my computer got wiped and I lost the project file that I decided to just put it out as a free download. Thanks for all the support so far, exciting things ahead!” Enjoy!
