ADVERTISER racing experts Lincoln Moore and Ben Scadden with their Track Talk preview for Saturday’s Morphettville races.
BEST OF BEST
EXTRA CHOICE
Race 2, No 2
Lindsay Park-trained four-year-old who has competed in better races. Liked the way he powered home from a long way back at Geelong last time. The small field suits and he should take plenty of beating.
ROYAL RUMBLE
Race 7, No 5
Should be primed for this after four runs back from a spell. Plenty to like about his last start when he charged home from a mile back to beat all but King’s Pardon in the Gawler Cup. Well weighted and ready to bounce back into winner’s circle.
THE EYE-CATCHER
CASINO WIZARD
Race 5, No 1
Quality sprinter who’s raced really well without winning at two runs from a break. Only beaten a length at Listed level last time and only needs repeat of that performance to proved too good in this with top jockey Jason Holder on board.
THE TRAINER
RICHARD JOLLY
UNRELATED (Race 1)
He’s shown us ability but will definitely be better for the run and he’ll also improve as he gets over further
BAY ROAD (Race 3)
He almost always runs well after a freshen-up. I expect him to be right in it.
MAJESTIC MOMENT (Race 5)
He’s coming off a fair kind of lay-off. He’s trialled well but I would say he’s likely to need a run or two.
PISTOLIER (Race 8)
He was a shade disappointing at Gawler but he’s back to Morphettville where seems to run well. He’ll need a bit of luck from the draw.
ALCOBRO (Race 8)
It was a nice run first-up and he’s improved. I expect him to run well.
SCOTTY SAYS
HERENOA
Race 6, No 2
He hasn’t won for a while but I reckon he’s ready to deliver his best with Jamie Kah on board. I’m tipping he’ll settle back on the inside then charge home when it counts.
THE QUADDIE
First leg — 1, 6, 7
Second leg — 1, 10
Third leg — 1, 5, 6
Fourth leg — 2, 5, 7, 8, 9
