Church welfare group to host free Christmas lunch at Frankston Arts Centre
ABOUT 100 volunteers will help up to 500 of Frankston’s most needy enjoy Christmas lunch at Frankston Arts Centre.
The annual City Life event, previously held at two venues, is free to attend.
Mark Whitby, head of church welfare group City Life, said the new venue provided a major boost.
“Here we are approaching Christmas and we have been given the best venue in the city,” he said.
The event, supported by Frankston Council, will feature carols with fun for kids including gifts, a jumping castle, face painting and colouring competition.
Tickets for the lunch can be collected from December 3 at the City Life store, 9 Station St Frankston; Community Support Frankston, 35 Beach St; council’s Seaford centre, 1/6 Broughton St; and Frankston North Community Centre, 26 Mahogany Ave.
City Life needs both financial support and volunteers to help with the Christmas event. Details on how you can assist at citylife.net.au
