Bandcamp uses your band or artist name to automatically retrieve upcoming show info from Songkick. All you need to do is make sure the "display upcoming shows" option enabled on your Profile page.
In most cases this is enough to identify your band and start piping in the details of your upcoming gigs. However, if your band shares its name with one or more other artists you might begin to see listings for tour dates you're sure you didn't book. It could be your manager just hasn't yet told you about those upcoming shows in Tonga, but more likely Songkick is just confusing your listings with those of another band with the same name.
If this is happening to you, or if you'd like to make sure it won't happen in the future, there is a very simple solution, and it comes in the form of a unique "Songkick Artist ID".
If you have an account on Songkick, or if your show information is already in their system, you already have a unique ID. If not, it only takes a few minutes to create a Songkick artist account (oh, do read on!)
That's it! From now on, only authentic shows will appear on your Bandcamp pages.
