The 196cm Roberts comes in for his 17th game of the season.

The Giants have replaced the suspended Steve Johnson with Rhys Palmer.

Meanwhile, Daniel Menzel will miss Geelong’s preliminary final against Sydney.

Menzel has been hampered by a groin injury in recent weeks and will be replaced in the starting 22 by Jed Bews.

The injury is a cruel blow for Menzel who has fought back from four knee reconstructions to reignite his AFL career.

The 25-year-old has played 18 games this season and kicked 33 goals.

The Cats have also recalled Lachie Henderson at the expense of Tom Ruggles.

Henderson, who can play either forward or back, had knee surgery in late August.

However, the Cats were always confident he would get back in time for the end of the finals.

Geelong’s opponents, Sydney, have made two changes with Toby Nankervis making way for the returning Kurt Tippett and Jarrad McVeigh replaced by Zak Jones.

McVeigh suffered a calf injury in the Swans’ win against Adelaide.

Gary Rohan’s season appeared over when he left the SCG on a medicab last week. However, he has been cleared to play by the Swans.
