Engineering Intern

Disqus is looking for smart, energetic software engineering interns. You'll be working on real projects that will be deployed to real users — no filler projects. Interning at Disqus will give you the full experience of working at a small (but not tiny) fast-moving internet startup. Frontend Engineer

Senior Site Reliability Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to play an integral role on our DevOps team at Disqus. The ideal person is obsessed with uptime and site speed and has years of experience with server hardware and Linux systems. At the same time, you are passionate about working with development engineers to get more done faster with less trouble. Disqus reaches over 1 billion unique visitors a month. You'll be working on large scale challenges immediately as well as make a huge, lasting impact on all technical decisions. This role is based out of our San Francisco office and reports to the VP of Engineering. What You'll Do Lead our server-side infrastructure, including configuring Linux systems (e.g. packaging) and dealing with hardware. Product Manager

We’re looking for a rigorous product leader to direct a team of world class engineers and designers in developing the publisher and community experience.  This is a full-time position in San Francisco, CA that will report directly to the VP of Product. What you’ll do Be fanatical about understanding customers’ true goalsdelighting people. Develop a strategic plan that balances speed, market risk, and upside, and communicate it clearly whenever the need arises at the right level of detail for the audience. Negotiate the right tactical calls to go fast, balancing what customers are known to need, what is guessed about their needs, and what can be delivered to satisfy customer needs or test a MVP. Motivate the dev team to go fast, build the right thing, and improve the plan with its own intuition, data, and skills. Own the rollout, including understanding what customers each rollout stage is for, when the product is ready, communicating inside and out, determining results, and calling audibles to adjust steps based on rollout learnings. Technical Recruiter

Disqus is hiring an experienced in-house Technical Recruiter to help us build a team of smart, energetic people who want to make a lasting impact on the web. You'll manage the hiring process from interview to offer as well as represent the company through screenings and candidate sourcings. Our ideal candidate has experience with full-cycle recruiting and sourcing/pipeline strategy, but doesn’t mind getting down in the weeds to execute and crank through process. This role is based out of our San Francisco office and reports to the Director of People Operations.   Key responsibilities Work closely with hiring managers to learn their teams and understand their needs Develop and execute on a sourcing strategy to build a strong pipeline of top-tier candidates Show us what we don't know about technical recruiting, and develop a strong engineering recruiting culture Leverage various channels, such as meetups and events, cold calling, employee referrals and select sourcing tools, in addition to traditional job boards and external partners Track and manage candidates in Greenhouse (our ATS) Streamline processes as needed to improve the candidate and employee experience Ensure an enjoyable experience for all applicants by being efficient and personable   What we're looking for You: You are warm, friendly, and able to get along with a variety of personalities, in addition to being highly organized, responsible, and trustworthy. Your attention to detail is rivaled only by your impeccable grammar and excellent reading comprehension; you take pride in a well-crafted email. You are not afraid to (respectfully) speak up and tell us what we're doing wrong and how we could do better. You are tech-savvy and not afraid of learning new technologies. You are flexible, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. You have strategic problem-solving skills and love data-driven decision-making.
