Lucille Désirée Ball (August 6, 1911 – April 26, 1989) was an American actress, comedienne, model, film studio executive and producer. She was best known as the star of the sitcoms I Love Lucy, The Lucy–Desi Comedy Hour, The Lucy Show, Here's Lucy and Life with Lucy.
Ball's career began in 1929, when she landed work as a model. Shortly thereafter, she began her performing career on Broadway using the stage names Diane Belmont and Dianne Belmont. She later appeared in several minor film roles in the 1930s and 1940s as a contract player for RKO Radio Pictures, being cast as a chorus girl or in similar roles. In the midst of her work as a contract player for RKO, Ball met Cuban bandleader Desi Arnaz, and the two eloped in November 1940. In the 1950s, Ball ventured into television. In 1951, she and Arnaz created the sitcom I Love Lucy, a series that would go on to become one of the most beloved programs in television history. The same year, Ball gave birth to their first child, Lucie Arnaz, followed by Desi Arnaz, Jr. in 1953. Ball and Arnaz divorced in May 1960. In 1961, she married comedian Gary Morton.

He slowly builds the agency's reputation, becoming the sole arbiter of who gets hired and fired. One of his hires is Clyde Tolson who is quickly promoted to Assistant Director and would be Hoover's confidant and companion for the rest of Hoover's life. Hoover's memories have him playing a greater role in the many high profile cases the FBI was involved in - the Lindbergh baby kidnapping, the arrest of bank robbers like John Dillinger - and also show him to be quite adept at manipulating the various politicians he's worked with over his career, thanks in large part to his secret files.

Genres: Comedy, Mystery, Short,Along with having Dolly Pardon, Henry Winkler, and Stacy Weitzerman as guests for her 1977 Special, Barbara Walters also sits down with Lucy and Gary Morton. IMO:Barbara Walters asks the questions Lucy kinda steered away from up until this point of her career on TV (post-I Love Lucy) Some say Lucy was uncomfortable with discussing her past life with her current husband, as she wanted to respect the present joys they had in their successful marriage, and giving it its own identity-It's definately interesting to see Lucy a little stern with Barbara about her first marriage and telsl the TRUTH of how it was, and why it didnt work. Barbara is wonderful and friendly but asks those GOOD questions you've always wanted to know :) Id love to see an unedited version come out one day, as this is the ...

This clip is from the television special 'Lucy and Desi: Home Movies' from 1992. I VHS taped my copy back on August 1, 1993. I believe this special is available on VHS or now, DVD, and is highly recommended. It was produced by Lucie and Desi Jr Arnaz, and they are interviewed in the special, along with a who's-who of Hollywood and backstage at the 'I Love Lucy' show. In this video clip, Desi and Lucy explain how the 'I Love Lucy' television series reached the airwaves. As much as Lucy was the focus of talent in front of the camera, Desi was equally as important as the focus behind the camera. He was pushing technological and distribution innovation throughout the reign of the 'I Love Lucy' show during the 1950s, and he helped guide the way for the show to reach the syndication mark...

Just Danny Kaye and Lucille Ball getting drunk off salad. Danny's daughter Dena picked this skit to be part of The Best of the Danny Kaye Show which I recommend because it is full of lulz. I mean it. Full of them. Overflowing. Lulz. Everywhere.

The show, which was the first scripted television program to be shot in front of a studio audience, won five Emmy Awards and received numerous nominations. The story will follow Ball's 20-year marriage to her I Love Lucy co-star Desi Arnaz, which spanned from 1940 to 1960. No specific plot details were given for the biopic, but it will most likely cover the inception of I Love Lucy, which ran for six seasons between 1951 and 1957. Stone Pillow was a 1985 television movie, directed by George Schaefer, in which Lucille Ball, in an attempt to make a dramatic "breakout" from her years in comedy, portrayed an older homeless woman with few resources and even fewer options. The picture received rather mixed reviews, but ranked as one of the top 10 highest rated telecasts that week, and it led Ball to make one last attempt to return to her comedy roots with Life with Lucy the next year. In an effort to understand the plight of homeless women living on the streets, young social worker, Carrie Lange (Daphne Zuniga) attempts befriending a homeless woman named Florabelle ('Lucille Ball' ). Florabelle believes Carrie is runaway and tells her to go to the homeless shelter for help. Carrie stops another woman from stealing Florab...

Desi Arnaz, who had just died five days earlier following a long bout with cancer, had written a touching statement for this event, which is read here by Robert Stack. (Lucy had to fly almost immediately to Washington following Desi's funeral in order to attend this event.) Lucy struggles to keep her composure, but the mood quickly changes when Bea Arthur, Valerie Harper and Pam Dawber come out for a musical tribute to Lucille Ball -- a musical medley of WILDCAT, MAME and I LOVE LUCY, set to special new lyrics. "I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't had this thing to keep me occupied. Desi died and my show got canceled. If I hadn't had this, if I hadn't this reassurance that I was still wanted, I don't think that I could have gone on." -- Lucille Ball, speaking about the Ken...

An almost complete collection of Lucille Ball's appearances in film, as documented by IMDB. Sadly, some films aren't available to purchase, so those had to be skipped. Other items listed were actually radio broadcasts that were displayed on television simultaneously. Still others were more expensive (check out my Patreon to help get around that!) and this already took a lot of work without going broke to get more! Even so, I'm proud of what I could get.
