Bal Kama

Bal Kama is a PhD candidate at the Australian National University College of Law. His PhD thesis examines the relationship between the executive and the judicial arms of government in PNG.

Bal is admitted to the ACT Supreme Court. He has worked as a consultant for the UN under the Gender Task Team PNG program on sorcery-related violence and as a paralegal in the criminal division for the Aboriginal Legal Services NSW-ACT.

He is the Founder and Director of Kama Scholars Foundation, a community-based scholarship and mentoring program in the Highlands of Papua New Guinea and is the 2016 Commonwealth Pacific Young Person of the Year.
