Pair dead after car avoiding kangaroo crashes in Denver, Victoria
A MAN and a woman have died after their car swerved to avoid a kangaroo and hit a tree in central Victoria last night.
Police say the car was travelling north along Daylesford-Malmsbury Rd in Denver, in central Victoria, when it swerved to avoid a kangaroo about 9.30pm.
The car left the road and hit a tree.
“The male driver was located deceased while emergency services unsuccessfully attempted to revive the female passenger who also died at the scene,” police spokesman Thomas O’Byrne.
Death ended a horror day on the state’s road with five people dying in four separate crashes.
