Paris

Paris (UK: /ˈpærɪs/ PARR-iss; US: ⁱ/ˈpɛərɪs/ PAIR-iss; French: [paʁi]) is the capital and most populous city of France. Situated on the Seine River, in the north of the country, it is in the centre of the Île-de-France region, also known as the région parisienne, "Paris Region". The City of Paris has an area of 105 km² (41 mi²) and a population of 2,241,346 (2014 estimate) within its administrative borders essentially unchanged since 1860.

Since the 19th century, the built-up area of Paris has grown far beyond its administrative borders; together with its suburbs, the whole agglomeration has a population of 10,550,350 (Jan. 2012 census).Paris' metropolitan area spans most of the Paris region and has a population of 12,341,418 (Jan. 2012 census), or one-fifth of the population of France. The administrative region covers 12,012 km² (4,638 mi²), with approximately 12 million inhabitants as of 2014, and has its own regional council and president.

Paris was founded in the 3rd century BC by a Celtic people called the Parisii, who gave the city its name. By the 12th century, Paris was the largest city in the western world, a prosperous trading centre, and the home of the University of Paris, one of the first in Europe. In the 18th century, it was the centre stage for the French Revolution, and became an important centre of finance, commerce, fashion, science, and the arts, a position it still retains today.

Daniel Desnoyers

Daniel Desnoyers, also known by his stage name Dan D-Noy, is a Canadian DJ and owner of D-Noy Muzik. Desnoyers is the official Canada DJ for the Pacha clubs. He is best known for his song "Good World", which was a hit in Europe. Among his other original creations, "I Said" made it to the top 10 of the Canadian Dance Chart, "Moon Sharm" to the Top 40 and "4 Ladies" obtained success in the clubs of Canada.

Biography

Dan Desnoyers worked as a VJ and also as a manager of DanseXpress with the TV channel Musique Plus from 1993 to 2002. The six albums from the series DanseXpress were also created around that time. From 2001 to 2006, he was the official DJ of the Galas Interbox at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

Producer, director, sound engineer, mixer, remixer and CD conceptor, Daniel Desnoyers eventually started in June 1999 his own music label, DKD D-Noy Muzik, within the Donald K. Donald Group. In 2003, DKD D-Noy Muzik became D-Noy Muzik and since that time Dan Desnoyers is the sole owner.

Dan D

Dan D (meaning D-Day in Slovene) is a popular Slovenian rock band that has been formed in 1996 in Novo Mesto and has published five albums till now.

Band members

The group was formed from the remnants of the Mercedes Band musical ensemble by the singer Tomislav Jovanovič (nicknamed Tokac) and the drummer Dušan Obradinovič (nicknamed Obra) who later invited his friend Marko Turk (Tučo) as the rhythm guitar, Primož Špelko as the bass guitar, and Aleš Bartelj as the solo guitar. After Primož Špelko and Aleš Bartelj left, the band invited the bass guitarist Andrej Zupančič and the keyboardist Boštjan Grubar, and Tokac started to also play guitar. In 2006, Andrej Zupančič was replaced by Nikola Sekulovič as the bass guitarist.

Performances

In March 2007, Dan D and the Siddharta band performed at the presentation of the Slovenian media award Viktor in the Cankar Hall in Ljubljana the joint version of the Dan D's Voda and the Siddharta's song Male roke. This version later became one of the biggest hits of the year in Slovenia. The next day the two groups were presented in the TV show Tistega lepega popoldneva, broadcast by TV Slovenija, the Slovenian national TV station.

We Dem Boyz

"We Dem Boyz" is a song by American hip hop recording artist Wiz Khalifa from his fifth studio album Blacc Hollywood (2014). On February 11, 2014, it was released by Rostrum Records and Atlantic Records as the album's first single. It was produced by Detail. The song peaked at number 43 of the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Background and composition

On February 6, 2014, Wiz Khalifa released a 15-second preview of "We Dem Boyz", announcing its full release to come in a few days. Wiz Khalifa commented on his reasoning for releasing it as a single saying, "I like 'We Dem Boyz' as the first single because of the energy. It reaches so many audiences other than just a rap audience. It's kind of like how "Black and Yellow" was – a big sports song to get everybody riled. It's more of an anthem."

The song features a boisterous, trap influenced instrumental driven by "thunderous" drums. On top of the production, Wiz Khalifa raps with a subtly autotuned flow.

Release and promotion

On February 10, 2014, the song was premiered via a partnership with music identifying app Shazam. When the preview video was "Shazamed", the song's full audio was unlocked on the app's feed. It was the first song to be premiered by Shazam in history. Then the following day, it was officially released as a digital download.
