Political satire is a significant part of satire that specializes in gaining entertainment from politics; it has also been used with subversive intent where political speech and dissent are forbidden by a regime, as a method of advancing political arguments where such arguments are expressly forbidden.
Political satire is usually distinguished from political protest or political dissent, as it does not necessarily carry an agenda nor seek to influence the political process. While occasionally it may, it more commonly aims simply to provide entertainment. By its very nature, it rarely offers a constructive view in itself; when it is used as part of protest or dissent, it tends to simply establish the error of matters rather than provide solutions.
Satire can be traced back throughout history; wherever organized government, or social categories, has existed, so has satire.
The oldest example that has survived till today is Aristophanes. In his time satire targeted top politicians, like Cleon, and religion, at the time headed by Zeus. "Satire and derision progressively attacked even the fundamental and most sacred facts of faith," leading to an increased doubt towards religion by the general population. The Roman period, for example, gives us the satirical poems and epigrams of Martial while some social satire exists in the writings of Paul of Tarsus in the New Testament of the Bible. Cynic philosophers often engaged in political satire.
Donald John Trump, Sr. (born June 14, 1946) is an American businessperson and media personality. He is the chairman and president of The Trump Organization and the founder of Trump Entertainment Resorts. Trump's career, branding efforts, personal life, wealth, and outspoken manner have made him famous throughout the country. Since 2015, he is also a candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States in the 2016 election.
Trump is a native of New York City and a son of Fred Trump, who inspired him to enter real estate development. After two years at Fordham University and while studying at Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Trump worked for his father's firm, Elizabeth Trump & Son. Upon graduating in 1968 he joined the company, and in 1971 was given control, renaming the company "The Trump Organization". Since then he has built hotels, golf courses, and other properties, many of which bear his name. He is a major figure in the American business scene and has received prominent media exposure. The NBC reality show The Apprentice bolstered his fame, and his three marriages were extensively reported in tabloids.
Christopher Eric Hitchens (13 April 1949 – 15 December 2011) was an English American author, essayist, orator, religious and literary critic, and journalist. Hitchens later spent much of his career in the United States and became a US citizen in 2007.
He contributed to New Statesman, The Nation, The Atlantic, London Review of Books, The Times Literary Supplement, Slate, and Vanity Fair. Hitchens was the author, co-author, editor or co-editor of over 30 books, including five collections of essays, on a range of subjects, including politics, literature, and religion. A staple of talk shows and lecture circuits, his confrontational style of debate made him both a lauded and controversial figure. Known for his contrarian stance on a number of issues, Hitchens criticized such public and generally popular figures as Mother Teresa; Bill Clinton; Henry Kissinger; Princess Diana; and Pope Benedict XVI. He was the elder brother of the conservative journalist and author Peter Hitchens.

From the German political satire show "Die Anstalt", originally aired on ZDF on Sep 23rd, 2014. Some further information: 0:18 "Intervene or not?" This was aired at the point German politics had not intervene in the conflict and it was public discussion if they should or should not. Uthoff (or the character he plays) represented the Interventionists in this episode. 0:22 The somewhat quirky term "ISIS understander" is derived from the term "Putin understander"/"Russia understander", a literal translation of a German term coined to descendingly smile at those who argument that EU politicians should have known that the continued expansion of the EU would threaten Russia. This term was discussed in most of the important newspapers. 3:32 On the "German neo-nazi case" I mention: http://en.wi...

!PLEASE READ THE DISCLAIMER AT THE BEGINNING OF THE VIDEO AND THE EXPLANATION BELOW! EXPLANATION: I had an assignment for school to create a film trailer off of the book I read, American Sniper. I have pretty much no friends to help me film so I made the main characters from the US potatoes and the "bad guys" were played as human hands. Little did I know that I had come to think of a theory behind this whole trailer and it turned into almost political satire. So the whole war on terror started after 9/11 when George Bush decided to take actions to foreign countries in the middle east. There have been multiple conspiracies regarding the Bush Administration, some claiming that there was no particular reason behind attacking these foreign countries. Nevertheless, he sent thousands of soldier...
