That's all for the blog today. Have a great day! I'll be back tomorrow.

As an aside, I'm going to England to the next four weeks and will not be Melbourne Express blogging. But I'll be back in the mornings with more brainteasers and Mystery Melbourne photos when I get back!

Did you get today's Mystery Melbourne.

Yes, this one was slightly misleading because the Split Point Lighthouse in Aireys Inlet is not in Melbourne.

You might also recognise it as the lighthouse from the classic kids' series 'Round The Twist'.

As an aside, a couple of people who answered the question recommended this podcast, in which reporter Spencer Howden tracked down the three actors who played Bronson in the series. Check it out here.

I got some very creative answers to this one on Twitter:

Emoticons:

This translates to Tibet airport (thanks Google Translate):

And someone out there has lived this brainteaser:

And while it is a bit morbid, I suppose this answer is technically correct:

Northbound lanes have reopened at Sutton Ave after a collision on Dorset Road in Boronia. The southbound lane is due to open again shortly.

It's believed two cars collided with a bus.

An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said one man suffered pelvis and abdominal injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene.

The man has been taken to The Alfred in a serious condition.

I doubt anyone will be using this strap today.

Two lanes are blocked on Dorset Road in Boronia after a crash involving a bus.

Few details are known at this stage, but police say there are at least two patients being treated by paramedics.

The police spokeswoman said calls were received about the crash at 7.31am, and there are conflicting reports it was between one and two cars that collided with a bus.

Emergency services remain on the scene and traffic is being diverted.

Update: One person is being treated at the scene, an Ambulance Victoria spokesman said.

Do any of these tools look familiar to you?

Police seized these 500 stolen tools in a raid in Wantirna South this week and are looking to reunite these items with their rightful owners.

They will be displayed today at Forest Hill police station from 4pm, and if you can prove ownership, they're all yours.

There has been a multi-vehicle smash inbound on the Monash, and two lanes have been closed.

The crash happened near Jacksons Road in Noble Park, and delays are building back to the Gippsland Highway.

VicRoads is advising motorists to travel into the city via the Princes Freeway instead.

Update: A motorcyclist is currently being treated at the scene for a leg injury, an Ambulance Victoria spokesman said.

It was a horror day on the state's roads yesterday, with five people in four separate crashes.

In the most recent, two people died when they swerved to avoid a kangaroo and slammed into a tree.

The crash happened at Denver, out towards Daylesford, about 10pm last night.

The male driver and female passenger died at the scene.

Here are the details of the other crashes:

  • a woman died after her car struck a tree in Marong, near Bendigo, just after midday
  • a motorcyclist died in a collision with a car in Tyabb just after 6am
  • a female driver died in a collision with a truck in Mildura

A total of 248 people have died on the state's roads this year.

That means that this year's road toll is currently the same as the total number of road deaths in Victoria in 2014.

(Correction: An earlier version of this post incorrectly stated the Marong victim was male)

I'll see what I can find out:

Police have charged a 26-year-old Melbourne man following an alleged hit-run collision and an alleged carjacking in Altona yesterday.

A car and truck collided on Grieve Parade, just before 10.45am.

The car had been allegedly stolen from Hawthorn.

The driver allegedly fled the scene and stole a second car from a 72-year-old woman on nearby Brook Drive.

Police followed the man along the Princes Freeway for a short time before being intercepted on Heaths Road in Hoppers Crossing.

He has been charged with theft of motor car, drive in a manner dangerous, conduct endangering life and other dangerous driving related charges.
