Robert Lee "Bobby" Howard (born November 24, 1944 in Tallulah, Louisiana, died April 7, 2008 in San Diego, California) was a collegiate and professional football defensive back. He played in the American Football League for the San Diego Chargers, where he was a second-round selection in the 1967 Common Draft. He also played for the NFL's Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles, and New England Patriots.
Howard first played college football at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he later transferred to San Diego State, where he had been recruited by Don Coryell.
Howard married Barbara Howard after graduating from San Bernardino High School. They had three children, two girls and a boy. Bob Howard died of cancer on April 7, 2008.
Howard is a popular English given name originating from Old Norse Hávarðr, which means "high guard". A diminutive is "Howie" and its shortened form is "Ward" (most common in the 19th century). Between 1900-1960, Howard ranked in the U.S. Top 200; between 1960–1990, it ranked in the U.S. Top 400; between 1990–2004, it ranked in the U.S. Top 600. People with the given name Howard or its variants include:
Howard Allan Stern (born January 12, 1954) is an American radio and television personality, producer, author, actor, and photographer. He is best known as the host of The Howard Stern Show, his long-running radio show which gained popularity when it was nationally syndicated on terrestrial radio from 1986 to 2005 before its move to Sirius XM Radio in 2006. Stern first wished to be on the radio at five years of age. He landed his first radio jobs while at Boston University—WTBU, the campus station, and WNTN in Newton, Massachusetts. From 1976 to 1982, Stern developed his on-air personality through morning positions at WRNW in Briarcliff Manor, New York, WCCC in Hartford, Connecticut, WWWW in Detroit, Michigan, and WWDC in Washington, D.C. Stern worked afternoons at WNBC in New York City from 1982 until his firing in 1985.
In 1985, Stern began a 20-year run at WXRK in New York City, where his show was syndicated to 60 markets and attracted 20 million listeners. Stern won numerous awards, including Billboard’s Nationally Syndicated Air Personality of the Year eight times. He became the most fined radio host when the Federal Communications Commission issued fines totaling $2.5 million to station licensees for content it deemed indecent. Stern became one of the highest paid radio figures after signing a five-year deal with Sirius in 2004 worth $500 million. In recent years, Stern took up photography and has had work featured in Hamptons and WHIRL magazines. From 2012 to 2015, he served as a judge on America's Got Talent.
The Medal of Honor is the United States of America's highest military honor, awarded for personal acts of valor above and beyond the call of duty. The medal is awarded by the President of the United States in the name of the U.S. Congress to U.S. military personnel only. There are three versions of the medal, one for the Army, one for the Navy, and one for the Air Force. Personnel of the Marine Corps and Coast Guard receive the Navy version.
The Medal of Honor was created as a Navy version in 1861 named the "Medal of Valor", and an Army version of the medal named the "Medal of Honor" was established in 1862 to give recognition to men who distinguished themselves "conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity" in combat with an enemy of the United States. Because the medal is presented "in the name of Congress," it is often referred to as the "Congressional Medal of Honor". However, the official name is the "Medal of Honor," which began with the U.S. Army's version. Within United States Code the medal is referred to as the "Medal of Honor", and less frequently as "Congressional Medal of Honor".
The United States Army (USA) is the largest branch of the United States Armed Forces and performs land-based military operations. It is one of the seven uniformed services of the United States, and is designated as the Army of the United States in the United States Constitution, Article 2, Section 2, Clause 1 and United States Code, Title 10, Subtitle B, Chapter 301, Section 3001. As the largest and senior branch of the U.S. military, the modern U.S. Army has its roots in the Continental Army, which was formed (14 June 1775) to fight the American Revolutionary War (1775–83)—before the U.S. was established as a country. After the Revolutionary War, the Congress of the Confederation created the United States Army on 3 June 1784, to replace the disbanded Continental Army. The United States Army considers itself descended from the Continental Army, and dates its institutional inception from the origin of that armed force in 1775.

Oldfashioned song about the sweet joys of molasses, having them and wanting more. I´m not sure if girls are called lasses anymore but I put a few pictures of them among the vintage ads for sticky syrup, good for cookies and gingerbread true, but also health-hazards & lethal explosives...From the compilation "Hidden Gems Vol.1 Atlantic". This is a interview I shot with Norris Chambers, the last person living, as far as I know, who knew Robert E. Howard. I interviewed him in 2007, as he took a tour of Howard's house for the first time in many many years. His dad and REH's dad were great friends, so Norris spent lots of time in Cross Plains at the Howard House. Robert was older than him, so he and Howard weren't friends nor close, but he is the last person living who spent any sort of time in a personal way with my favorite author. I will include this in some form or fashion in my documentary, but I wanted to share it with my fellow Howard fans before then. Any critiques are appreciated!
