The National Mall is a national park in downtown Washington, D.C., the capital of the United States. The National Park Service (NPS) administers the National Mall, which is part of its National Mall and Memorial Parks unit. The term National Mall commonly includes areas that are officially part of West Potomac Park and Constitution Gardens to the west, and often is taken to refer to the entire area between the Lincoln Memorial and the United States Capitol, with the Washington Monument providing a division slightly west of the center. The National Mall receives approximately 24 million visitors each year.
In his 1791 plan for the future city of Washington, D.C., Pierre (Peter) Charles L'Enfant envisioned a garden-lined "grand avenue" approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) in length and 400 feet (120 m) wide, in an area that would lie between the Capitol building and an equestrian statue of George Washington to be placed directly south of the White House (see L'Enfant Plan). The National Mall occupies the site of this planned "grand avenue", which was never constructed. The Washington Monument stands near the planned site of its namesake's equestrian statue. Mathew Carey's 1802 map is reported to be the first to name the area west of the United States Capitol as the "Mall".

This tour of the National Mall was done based on a tour recommend by a book I read, unfortunately I can't remember the name of it. The tour took about four to five hours to complete and was about four miles long. If you are unable to walk this distance there are several Washington D.C. area tours available which utilize buses to drive around the area.

Is the ecumenical, one-world church starting to come "Together"? The theme of "unity" is very much a new age & one world message. There's nothing wrong with Christians coming together for a conference, but the fact that Pope Francis will be a KEY speaker via live feed should raise red flags! The fact that he openly advocates the climate change agenda which is rooted in Gaia/pagan worship shows who he is. This "prophetic awakening" as he refers to climate change is a major deception. The fact that Hillsong United will be one of the key performers should also cause alarm bells to be going off in your spirit! Is a world-wide "reset" coming soon? Will the church experience a "reset" due to many being deceived & falling back into the RCC? Will the financial world experience a "reset" from a one...

Two round trips; one on the right side of the bus, one on the left. I would have preferred it if they drove a little faster, but I guess this is a tourist bus, so it makes sense. Also, the new buses come equipped with USB charging ports in the rear of the bus. Neat =P Enjoy the ride =)

Hello there! I recently bought a GoPro Hero 3+ Silver edition for an upcoming trip to Iceland. I was eager to see the videocam in action so I took it for a spin. I used 1080p 60 FPS Wide View, a DSstyles' single shoulder pad and the Skeleton Backdoor. This is my first time uploading a gopro video. I uploaded the full footage as I still need to figure out the settings and editing involved. Thanks for watching!
