Dallas (/ˈdæləs/) is a major city in the state of Texas and is the largest urban center of the fourth most populous metropolitan area in the United States. The city proper ranks ninth in the U.S. and third in Texas after Houston and San Antonio. The city's prominence arose from its historical importance as a center for the oil and cotton industries, and its position along numerous railroad lines. The bulk of the city is in Dallas County, of which it is the county seat; however, sections of the city are located in Collin, Denton, Kaufman, and Rockwall counties. According to the 2010 United States Census, the city had a population of 1,197,816. The United States Census Bureau's estimate for the city's population increased to 1,281,047, as of 2014.
Claudia Alta Taylor "Lady Bird" Johnson (December 22, 1912 – July 11, 2007) was First Lady of the United States (1963–69), as the wife of the 36th President of the United States, Lyndon B. Johnson.
Notably well-educated for a woman of her era, she proved a capable manager and a shrewd investor. After marrying LBJ in 1934 when he was a political hopeful in Austin, Texas, she used a modest inheritance to bankroll his congressional campaign, and then ran his office while he served in the navy. Next, she bought a radio station and then a TV station, which soon made them millionaires. As First Lady, she broke new ground by interacting directly with Congress, employing her own press secretary, and making a solo electioneering tour.
Lady Bird Johnson was a lifelong advocate for beautifying the nation's cities and highways ("Where flowers bloom, so does hope") and the Highway Beautification Act was informally known as Lady Bird's Bill. She was a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest US civilian honors. She is a descendant of Rowland Taylor through his grandson Captain Thomas J. Taylor, II.

Dallas - Texas Travel guide, Vacation, Tourism World Travel https://www.youtube.com/user/World1Tube Dallas - Texas - United States Travel guide http://goo.gl/tLsKrZ Dallas is a young city with all the vigour of youth. Effigies of modern architecture rise like glass trees out of the downtown area. In 1841, it was simply a plan of 20 streets on the 256 hectares (640 acres) of south central America, claimed by a Tennessee lawyer, John Neely Bryan. Today, it is the ninth largest city in the USA, and including its western neighbour of Fort Worth, it is the nation's fastest growing metropolitan area. Thriving at the bottom edge of America's Great Plains, Dallas has embraced dreamers and entrepreneurs for the better part of two centuries. Big D, as it's affectionately called, merges Southern hos...

Most major cities have great malls, but Dallas exceeds expectations with some of the most incredible shops in the country. From Northpark Center, one of the very first malls in America, to shiny and new Stonebriar Center Mall, as well as tourist favorite Galleria Dallas, you'll find precisely what you're searching for. Anchor stores like Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom are easy to find, and smaller boutiques, such as Hanna Anderson and Vera Bradley don't disappoint. Northpark Center and Stonebriar Center both house incredible AMC Movie Theaters for movie lovers, and all three malls contain restaurants with cuisine that can't be missed. Find out for yourself what makes the ...
This is a collection of recordings made at the show, pieced together. Recorded on an iPhone, so the instrumentals weren't picked up as well as the vocals (but you can bet they were intense!). We were up in the VIP area, so the camera had to be zoomed in a bit. They played a great set that pulled from all of their albums. The following is the full set list (that I can remember, and not in order), but not all of them are featured in the recording: * Woe * Every Man Has a Molly * Belt * Alive With the Glory of Love * Spores * Mara and Me * Crush’d * Death for My Birthday * Say Anything * So Good * Six Six Six * My Greatest Fear Is Splendid * Lost My Touch * Give a Damn * So Numb * 17 Coked Up and Speeding * Varicose Visage * Two of a Crime
