Be inspired by these quick and tasty ideas using more of this month's in-season produce.
Shiitake mushrooms
Fresh shiitakes sautéed with garlic and buk choy make a great side for grilled chicken. For a fast pasta sauce, stir-fry fresh shiitake and button mushrooms
with hummus and a little water.
Corn
Serve barbecued corn with a herbed butter - add lemon rind and chopped fresh chives to softened butter, then chill until firm.
Raw or cooked corn kernels add colour to a tuna, rocket and red onion salad, too.
Limes
For a refreshing drink with zing, add sliced lime and cucumber to a jug of water.
To make an easy marinade for chicken, combine lime juice, chopped coriander, oil, and salt and pepper in a bowl.
Passionfruit
With its rich tropical taste, passionfruit pulp stirred into a mixture of yoghurt and mascarpone makes a decadent topping for muesli. Add the pulp to a butter icing to decorate cupcakes, or strain it and stir into lemon butter for a quick tartlet filling.
