In 1948, Delhi police was restructured. Mr D.W. Mehra became first chief of Delhi Police. Strength of Delhi police in 1951 was about 8,000 with one Inspector General of Police (IGP) and eight Superintendents of Police (SP). In 1956 a post of Deputy Inspector General of Police was created. In 1961, the strength of Delhi police was over 12,000.

Police Headquarters was a 1932 crime radio drama. Bruce Eells Associates produced this series which was syndicated to West Coast NBC radio stations. Each program lasted for about 15 minutes: music was featured in the first part of the show, an announcer would do a commercial or two, then the 12 minute episode would follow. A total of thirty-nine episodes were produced.
The program centered on a citizen reporting a crime via telephone and police use of two-way radio to set up a dragnet to find criminals and solve cases. While the programs were based upon actual cases, the cases had not always been solved (as presented in the program). The police in the drama would investigate a murder, a bank robbery, etc. and apprehend the perpetrators.

Le traigo el remedio
para ese mal de amor
que le estremece
no se merece sufrir
si su pareja le dejó.
Tengo toda clase de brebajes
plantas medicinales
las he traído
desde muy lejanos bosques hasta aquí.
Soy YERBATERO
Anda moribundo, preocupado, cabizbajo, desenamorado
le tengo la solución
si le duele el corazón
No soy doctor YERBATERO
Bieeeen bieeeen bieeeeeeen, bieeeeen bieeeeen bieeeeeeeen.
