Ficus (/ˈfaɪkÉ™s/ or /ˈfiË?kÉ™s/) is a genus of about 850 species of woody trees, shrubs, vines, epiphytes and hemiepiphytes in the family Moraceae. Collectively known as fig trees or figs, they are native throughout the tropics with a few species extending into the semi-warm temperate zone. The common fig (F. carica) is a temperate species native to southwest Asia and the Mediterranean region (from Afghanistan to Portugal), which has been widely cultivated from ancient times for its fruit, also referred to as figs. The fruit of most other species are also edible though they are usually of only local economic importance or eaten as bushfood. However, they are extremely important food resources for wildlife. Figs are also of considerable cultural importance throughout the tropics, both as objects of worship and for their many practical uses.
Ficus is a pan-tropical genus of trees, shrubs and vines occupying a wide variety of ecological niches; most are evergreen, but some deciduous species are endemic to areas outside of the tropics and to higher elevations. Fig species are characterized by their unique inflorescence and distinctive pollination syndrome, which utilizes wasp species belonging to the Agaonidae family for pollination.
Wikimedia Commons (or simply Commons) is an online repository of free-use images, sound, and other media files. It is a project of the Wikimedia Foundation.
Files from Wikimedia Commons can be used across all Wikimedia projects in all languages, including Wikipedia, Wikibooks, Wikivoyage, Wikispecies, Wikisource, and Wikinews, or downloaded for offsite use. The repository contains over 30 million media files. In July 2013, the number of edits on Commons reached 100,000,000.
The project was proposed by Erik Möller in March 2004 and launched on September 7, 2004. A key motivation behind the setup of a central repository was the desire to reduce duplication of effort across the Wikimedia projects and languages, as the same file had to be uploaded to many different wikis separately before Commons was created.
Several sister projects (e.g. Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Spanish, Basque, Polish, Czech and Slovak Wikipedias) moved all their media content to Commons and stopped allowing local uploading. Some projects, such as the English Wikipedia, have more compliant copyright policy and allow to upload and keep files which are not acceptable at Commons, e.g. fair use images.
Home Cooking is a 1924 silent short film directed by Herman C. Raymaker and produced by and starring Monty Banks.
A print survives in the Library of Congress collection.

Hi my hungry dinosaurs, it's food again! Today I'm having fresh figs since it's time for another episode of "Eat the whole thing"! But one fig wouldn't have been enough, so I decided to eat 10. Unfortunately two figs didn't want to be eaten - that's why I'm just having eight in this video. Anyway, they were really sweet and super crunchy! Just delicious. Btw figs are low-calorie and rich in magnesium which supports cell regeneration etc. I hope you guys enjoyed this video ♥♥ As always, thank you so much for watching and subscribing, it means a lot!! ♥♥♥ ~~~~~~~~~~~ ♥My microphone set: http://goo.gl/HdjmjR ♥My Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mysticsaurus/ ♥Donate here: https://goo.gl/cGQ6QT ♥Become a Patron: https://goo.gl/F1qWiJ Please don't feel obliged in any way to donate! :) ...
Video made on https://www.wochit.com/ Strange Symbiosis: The Fig and the Wasp...t sounds like a rumor on the elementary school playground: figs have digested wasps in them! Except that unlike most grade school legends, this one is actually true. The Atlantic shared a fascinating excerpt from the science blog Oscillator, which explains the symbiotic relationship between certain fig trees and the wasps that pollinate them. Figs are technically inverted flowers that store their pollen inside the fruits. In order to pollinate the female fruits, the trees have developed a specialized relationship with a type of wasp which burrows inside figs to lay its eggs. After hatching, the baby wasps mate and the males, who are born sharp-toothed but wingless, chew holes through the fig's skin for the win...
Some figs need fig wasps to pollinate their fruit. But are we eating dead wasps every time we bite into a fig? Lack of words, lack of reach
We're in to weapons when the powerless speak
It's a small game, with a big deduction
A fools parade, over the blown, when will we know?
That we should seek what we've sown
Is what you'll read (?)
Open doors, random keys
When we find ourselves, where shall we be?
Devil knowledge, headless state
Taking on, as we debate
When will know what we should see?
For what we saw, you know you'll read(?)
Running mind, howling banshee
No more a fugitive than you or I
The jealous cursed, crashed and burned
Beyond a countable way to die
When will know what we should see?
To what we saw, you know we'll read
When will know what we have lost
For what we've seen, it's final cost
I can only be myself
I can't be anyone else but me
Please don't need anyone else
Vlease don't be anyone else
You can't be
When will we know, what we have caused
The new chance rain, is it already lost?
When will we know?
I can only be myself
I can't be anyone else but me
When will we know?
I can only be myself
I can't be anyone else but me
Anyone else
